Landrace Genetics 101

Good luck
Thanks, I probs need it as it's quite the project I have set myself but I'll get to smoke good weed in the process =]

Next important decision is finding a lab so I can test CBD:THC ratios BUT I dont have a place to keep clones/mothers soooo I think I can focus else where rn.

I did find that some seed providers that sell in the US are able to get ACE seeds and will ship to states where weed is legal. I just haven't bought any seeds recently - probably won't until Fall when I start an indoor grow. Right now I've started some mystery seeds that a buddy gave me and have two plants that will reside outside for the Summer.

I've found a few banks that will send me seeds from Ace but it sounds like you mean state side banks. I haven't come across any of those that stock Ace, which ones are you talking about?

I'm in the process of making things happen with a few overseas banks. I honestly could wait as I won't pop them til at least next season but whatevs.

It's been a while since I last looked for ACE seeds. I recall that I saw them offered for sale from a few of the Canadian seed banks that advertise on this forum. True North might have been one of them.
I wont use TN as I have read to m any horror stories from people who have. I wish US based seedshops would stock something other than US genetics as very little of that interests me.

Enjoying...I know right? ACE was a life line
I have had some shtty experiences with the big seedbanks that seem to take you for granted so I'm not big on going through them.
There are others like landrace team, kwikseeds, etc
I think the future will be direct buy from instgram etc.
Right now I have enough to grow for twenty years
I would like to have a jamiacan strain, a Hawaiian and more African strains...but honestly I am well stocked.

After my next purchase(mostly Ace) I probably wont buy anything for quite some time as I will be well stocked also. I have a few strains I would like get a hold of but my CBD project is of top priority. Destroyer from CBG, Old Timers Haze Kerala Gold and Nanda Devi to name a few which I hope are all still around come time to buy more seeds. My CBD project will leave me with more seeds than I know what to do with but I know I will want to try these and probably mix with some CBD creations of my own for variety.

I've only bought seeds once and the vast majority of them were sent to my dad lol. All the freebies. It was seised but the company rectified it right away. I am hoping to not have any crappy experiences ever as who enjoys those? I am sorry you've had a few. I really only try to work with companies that guarantee delivery for this reason but I have come across two companies that don't that I may try because they have seeds others don't. OASeeds and Cannapot, as far as I know CannaPot is a sponsor or was anyways...

I agree with you on the future of seed buying will most likely end up on Insta. I hate social media so I may have to suck it up....

I will take a look at the shops you shared for sure as I am always looking for new ones.

I would like a pure Lambsbread mostly just to be able to try it. I would like a pure Oacaxan along with Tijuana also. I think I would enjoy a pure Hawaiian too. Tropical Seeds has some Africans you may be interested in. What specific strains have your interest?

That Landrace site looks to have some interesting things for sure! I may be buying from them sooner than I'd like =] I need to ask them a few questions first. Kwik seeds seems to be a place for The Real Seed Company to sell their products. I need to take a deeper look but real life is calling upon me so it will have to wait. I reached out to TRSC and was pleasantly surprised by their answer. Same with Tropical Seeds.

Oaxaca is a tough one to get.
My zacastecas tribute from vermontman is my only Oaxaca cross strain.

I wanted to get ZT from Ace but they sold out and I am not even sure US distributors got any lol. If I could have bought direct from Ace I would have WITHOUT hesitation on that one. Vermontman has a few other strains with Oaxaca in them but I am not sure how they compare to the ZT. Purple Satellite and Green Mountain Grape(I know a bank that will ship to the US and has this one but they don't guarantee delivery) catch my attention. A pure Oaxacan would be magnificent though.

Be sure to make more of those seeds for yourself man!

I haven't gotten any Congolese, Sudanese, or Ethiopian.
I'm looking at a Jamaican lambsbread crops in RSC/Kwikseed..kwikseed is real seed company USA outlet.
Thanks for reminding me about TRSC as they have a few I am interested in also. Mainly Nanda Devi. When I reached out to TRSC he got back to me saying he'd ship direct to me through his site. When you say you are looking at Lambsbread from them do you mean the Lambsbread x Blue Mountain F4 or did I miss it? I didn't look as closely as I could have as my wife and I are in the middle of a discussion so I can't give this my full attention =] I think I am interested in the Columbian 90 x Michoacán 78 x Columbian Gold. The only thing that stops me is the Columbian 90 having NL in it =[

It has been awhile sense I looked but Tropical Seeds used to have a few Congo selections. Ace has an Ethiopian and I think TRSC company does also. I've only ever seen Sudan from TRSC.

I tend to trust Vermontman. I think he has some genuine genetics (don't exactly remember but I think I was privy to a convo he had with someone). :hmmmm:

Anyway, I recommend him. It may be worth trying to contact him directly if you can.

:Namaste:

Check out Swamiseed.org for landrace here in the sates. His selection goes back to the 60s and before. All regs tho so you gotta find a keeper. Prices are fair.
