Landrace Genetics 101

I think I had a picture, sort of shows it. Here is my PCK x KaliChina just over 10 weeks from flip:

Anybody with a good harvesting technique when this happens feel free to share...

I don't have that kind of experience level, but when I look at the trichs I also look at the health of them.

.....straight standing up stalks
.....wrinkles in the heads and stalks
.....a narrowing of the stem toward the head.

In general older looking trichs.
I dunno? if it is even a thing or just my imagination.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm only on my third ever run and the 2nd is only half way through flower. The first run is revegging right now as the nitrogen was too high during flowering and I fried them. They started showing toxicity halfway through flower and stopped flowering. I thought it was from over watering during a week of really high heat and humidity. All that did was damage roots so I also had to remove part of the root balls and up pot, but the real problem was still there. I am using Urb at every watering now to let those microbes go to work on that soil. They are recovering very nicely and growing "like weeds." :laughtwo: The second run is doing well in flower now. I hope to get many buds from which to examine tricombs.

Interesting talk about reflowering. Did my first flush um ever. And the Haze i was running started shooting out white pistols like crazy. Not sure if that means anything. Was a 8 or 9 week strain that i let go 11 weeks. Or when he says reflowering does he mean revegging a plant 3 times? Since Ace is down there on the equator could probably pull off?

A lot of african sativa do this. They look just about ready and then bang fresh pistils everywhere. Usually after the third round it's done. Yes I almost always harvest with fresh pistils as long as the majority are cloudy, then for me the window is open.

Here's my girl showing bloom sites up and down the trunk and at the tips. Her and her twisted (and now banished) sister both showed purple at the leaf junctions and stripes up and down the stalks. Didn't expect that. Here's a shot of the top and down toward the bottom. She definitely and without reservation needs to dry out between waterings. Also, both cuttings I took are starting to stretch and already need repotting. This makes me very happy.
