Landrace Genetics 101

I added a Hawaiian hybrid to my seed collection recently, but haven't tried them yet. Though they a hybrid so not all out Hawaiian Landrace or anything.

Sticky Finger Seeds:
Hawaiian Dream (Blue Dream x Maui)

Got a few other "old school" ones but no idea how true the genetics are as obviously would have to be an inbred line. Got a couple Panama Red going currently from breeder Coastal Seeds that supposed to be selected/bred for higher CBD, one has shown this blind old fart it is a girl  and no idea on the other one yet. And a couple little tiny babies that I just popped in last couple weeks of Acapulco Gold and Zipolite Oaxacan from breeder Bodhi that I'm trying out.

Just remember like Credit Cards don't mention anything on the Invoice about being cannabis seeds, as they will shut them down and it won't be an option anymore, most will bill you with a different company name "Joy's crafting supplies" kind of thing ;). Same would go with filing a dispute for them not germinating as it would open a big old can of worms, not receiving in the mail be different as you wouldn't have to be specific.

That's what I was thinking. Everything is cool unless there's a dispute. So you really wouldn't get the usual protections.

Bodhi seems to be a breeder who respects individual genetic lines. :thumb:

Still way more protections than sending cash or a money order thru the mail, that and unlike giving them your credit card number having your Paypal addy doesn't do them any good far as fraud goes unless they hack your account.

Turns out that Ace follows these guys on IG. To me that shows some legitimacy. Also I have been talked into trusting the PayPal payment. Now I gotta talk the wife into allowing me to frivolously spend some money. Lord knows I got seeds, more than I can ever grow.. just not landrace seeds.

Yeah my Son going to inherit a bunch of seeds when I die at this rate, as I find something I want to try still  Far as my Old Lady goes she doesn't mind that I have a Hobby, as she knows if I didn't my Hobby would be bugging her instead ;) so keeps me out of her hair more than it might be

Swami has a Hawaiian heirloom he's just mentioned, I think it's Hawaiian Indica x Hawaiian Sativa.

Lol... says a lot swami.. how about those haze Indicas boh? lmfao.. fairly much selling fucked up versions of shanti shit with some bullshit rolled with it...

Hawaiian seedbank
Amy May have run a couple
I never did. Still have the “Maui Wowie” seeds from Pua Mana. Turbo Bucket grew a whole pack and it had wild variety (the breeder claims stability) and non of his or Lady Gaeas seemed to fit the bill at all. I had some communication with Mel Frank about the visual features of the plant and nothing I’ve seen grown from Pua Mana seedbank under the name Maui wowie has fit the bill. Plus newty grew some of what they called Kona gold (“pure Hawaiian sativa”, so they say) and it was a long way from it. (Short stocky thing with little atmosphere as I recall).

They were members here for a minute and posted a lot of very strange posts, including long posts about their detractors and dubious sounding stories about genetic preservation with vintage looking images. I asked them often for current images of some of their stuff and it was never forthcoming. Their manner had the definite overtones of scammyness (not a word, but it seems to fit ;) ). They were eventually banned from the 420 forums for repeatedly breaching the site guidelines about advertising and kept saying they’d love to be a sponsor but not following through. I don’t know what went on behind the scenes, but they were banned - so it obviously wasn’t good. All in all something to stay away from I think.

Bummer too - I was excited about what they claimed to represent, just don’t think it’s legit at all. They’re still operating though.

wish the new thanks button icon wasn’t so over enthusiastic...

Thanks a lot Amy. Yeah I waded through a couple of their long rambling stories about the righteous origins of their strains and it did sound like either they were talking a lot of $hit, or really stoned on their good Hawaiian bud.
Wishful thinking probably- the second one.

Hey Penny!
I honestly do not know.
I just had to go back and look at their site and then I remembered I saw their Instagram page and there was a fair amount of Trump support by the company on their page.
Certainly odd to mix a cannabis seed business to any political affiliation. At best that could potentially knock off half of your sales.
Penny I got my Avatar back!!!!
