Well...lots going on lately. Preparing for life after my shoulder surgery. 4 of my six girls have been transplanted to 5 gallon fabric pots. They looked a fright. Not sure how long my inline fan had been off for
Hope they bounce back. I think they will....stupid me. Check, check, and check daily. Ugh!! Made my gummies. Black cherry! They taste good and came out very firm! The are super low dose to start. I can micro-dose with them or just eat a few at a time
. Here is the recipe. It worked great!
Cherry Gummy Recipe
Yield: 160 small gummies
1/2 & 1/3 Cup of tart cherry juice
5 Tablespoons unflavored grass fed beef gelatin
One 3 oz package of cherry Jell-O
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
I used 1 teaspoon of my reduced tincture
½ teaspoon liquid lecithin
I sprinkled the unflavored gelatin and over ½ cup of the cherry juice and stirred with a fork. It got quite stiff. I heated 1/3 cup of the cherry juice and added the cherry Jell-O mix, the firmed up unflavored Jell-O, and the lemon juice. I put on a low heat and stirred until the gelatin was dissolved. To check, dip a spoon in it and run your finger along the back of the spoon to ensure it is. Add your cannabis tincture and the lecithin and whisk it well. You are ready to use it. I used a squeeze dropper that came with my gummy pan. It worked like a champ!
I kept another pan of hot water on the stove so I could place my small pan of gelatin right in it to thin it out from time to time and keep it viscous as I worked with it. I stirred after every dropper full was used. In essence I created a double boiler effect. You can also use a metal mixing bowl and keep your mix over a hot pan of water while you work too. You don't want to heat the gelatin too much or it won't firm up quite right. Gelatin firms as is cools, not if it it is cooked more.
FYI. My tincture was made with 1 ounce of CBD OG Kush processed with 1 bottle of Graves grain alcohol in my Magical Butter Machine2 and then reduced down to 3 ounces of tincture
If my calculations are correct, I ended up with .01 gummies so I can use them as a micro- dose.
Heres a pic. Baby dinos!
