Lady Cannafan Shrooming Midwest Grow Kits & Spore Genetics - APE, Blue Meanie & More

Lol. I hate to scare you but there is such a thing as cobweb mould, it spreads rapidly so you should know by morning

But at this stage just sounds like good old fashioned mycelium šŸ«¶šŸ¤˜šŸ™
Oh for crying out loud...it's Halloween month! You're supposed to try to scare people. I'm going to have faith that is mycelium growth. Okay, maybe not cobwebby so much as tiny little roots scattering every which way.

Lol I think youā€™re good. It sounds like mycelium.

Tendrils was the keyword that helped alleviate any mould madness šŸ¤˜

Sort of like this? I think this pic is taken at 3 days into colonisation šŸ™

Kind of. The tendrils of mine are much tinier and thin spreading in every direction. I think we are going to see some major changes in the next day or two for sure.

And I want to tell you how much I appreciate your input @JoetheChro

On the gourmet shroom front, I have Lion's Mane forming. I will try a pic of that tomorrow as well.
Thank you šŸ™ I forget mushrooms are also fun when not magical šŸ§™ā€ā™‚ļø

My cousin went down the same route you have. Lions Mane, Shiitake, just loving the Mushroom Madness šŸ„šŸ¤˜šŸ«¶

Just 20 minutes ago finished a documentary on funghi in the British Isles. Amazing stuff

Many different health benefits from them when used as extracts and teas. I won't concentrate much on those here. I'm only including them because they were provided by Midwest Grow Kits with the package I got.

I should see moisture in the spawn bags, right? I'm not really sure what the humidity requirement is for the all-in-one bags, so I'm unsure if they should be in with the substrate jars that are getting between 75-85% right now. (I'm trying to get that to keep at 80-90%) I do see moisture in the bags.

Yes you should be able to see moisture inside. Itā€™s something thatā€™s encouraged as shrooms are nearly like cucumbers, think they are 80-85% water.

Iā€™d up it to 90% as a minimum if possible. From your set up you definitely have enough airflow control, turn that down if you can and let the RH build šŸ¤˜šŸ«¶

I just inoculated those bags yesterday. One of them shows off color greenish fuzzies at the bottom already. That's way too soon for colonization to begin, I think. The guide says you would see activity after a week. I never looked at the bottom of that bag when I was doing the process yesterday. Wondering if that had already begun before I injected the spores for some reason. I'll post a pic tomorrow. I'm a little nervous on that one.
The other bag looks fresh and fine.

yeah just play it safe, keep everything clean and monitor for changes.

Mycelium bruises hella easy. The bruising can come out in green/blue tinges and also yellow.

Might just be early starts like you say and that jar has taken a knock along the way.

Itā€™s fun to rhyme advice about shrooms šŸ¤˜šŸ˜šŸ™

Really didnā€™t mean that. Got a broom handle sized hash joint on the go. Made me poetic šŸ™„šŸ™ƒ

I think you are spot on with the bruising. They are currently sitting on a wire rack in there. I've moved them a couple times since yesterday just rearranging for air flow. I'm going to set them in the aluminum trays that came with Ecosphere kit.

Okay, let's hope we're rockin' in the right direction. Personally, I think this is looking the way it should after about 7 days. Anyone disagree? I hope not..... but I will accept opinions from those in the know.
This is one of the Tidal Wave spores from @Spore Genetics. Close up is the best I can get with that glass between the lens and the subject during this tiny early stage.

Fingers crossed šŸ¤ž that itā€™s the good stuff growing. And maybe šŸ¤” you can scare some Trick or Treaters? CLšŸ€

Just keep an eye on it, itā€™s a bit like finding a hermy in a weed grow. Once you know for sure cull or keep it šŸ™

Could be bruising, could be a contamination. If itā€™s bruising that should darken up to dark blue as time goes on. If the green stays and starts spreading Iā€™d move it out of the grow area just in case

Everything looks great @Lady Cannafan

Are you sure you haven't done this before? :adore:

I was down cleaning up in my grow areas, and I had four jars left in the box they came in.
That I was going to use in the near future.
Anyways, one of my jars must of gone bad; these jar were not inoculated so any growth should not be there.
In the trash this jar is going.

I will update my dairy with images soon.

Aside from that, I am listening to everything that @JoetheChro is telling you. Thanks Joe.

Be safe, and grow well my friends,
Tok..
