Lady Cannafan Indoor Garden Sponsored By ViparSpectra KS5000 LED - Multiple Strains

Hey sista, go sista, soul sista, grow sista!

Good stuff. I think seedlings are like humans. Some are just defective.

The lengths I will go to to save a defective plant are stupid. Just like my humans, I’m far more attracted to something who fights for a good life than I am something that just lays back and takes.

Some of my all time favourite plants have been totes defective.
Hey Grow Sista....!
You're preaching to the choir. (No offense meant by that at all!)
I've spent most of my adult life taking care of people with cancers of all types on a caregiver level. There were two that just would not do anything to help themselves and it was a horribly exhausting thing for everyone.
Anyway, I do the same with my plants.
Doesn't cost me a dime to help it, so I do what I can. :circle-of-love:

I don't believe I've ever had a grow going without at least one White Widow.
Soooo, I dropped a White Widow XXL seed this morning along with one Blue Gelato 41 (Both from Barneys' Farm), and 1 Donkey Butter that I got from a friend. I don't know what the Donkey Butter will be, male/female/Auto....unknown.
The Blue Gelato seed is pretty pale in color, I hope it does okay.

My Geopots are scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Not a day too soon. All of the kids have very long roots coming out of the bottom of the solo cup drain holes. Now I have to rush to get some grow medium. I have enough of the fox farm here for one pot. Moving fast now. :laughtwo:

Busy lady

I got the rest of the grow medium today. Hopefully enough of it. Not cheap.

You're totally right!! Good soil definitely isn't cheap. But this is a way of life for me. It's almost as therapeutic Growing it as it is using it. Almost! Haha... it's always nice to have a selection because tolerance builds quickly. Happy Thursday to ya!! I'm glad you're back to it girl!! 😎✌️

Anyone using the Fox Farm like I'm using, are you mixing any additional perlite or anything in with it?
I am not familiar with this, I've always used my own soil blend.
@Bill284, is this what you use?
I will be taking the kids out of their solo cup cribs today and getting them into the Geo Pots, I want to be sure I mix in anything else I need before I start.
:thanks:
The next thing in the plan today is trekking into the spiders' lair. The barn. In there are 2x4's that I need to cut and use in the grow room to hang lights. My relationship with spiders is love/hate. Love to photograph them up close, hate to be near them. Go figure....

Thanks Scott. :) Therapeutic is what I'm counting on. I retired end of May this year to spend more time with my hero....my best friend.....my Father. He passed away unexpectedly two days after my retirement on my Birthday. The aftermath was, and still is, difficult to get through.
This has brought me back to having a purpose, and keeps me busy. I was lost. I wish I could get Mom to start growing, I think it would help her too. :dreamy:

I’m so sorry for your loss Lady C. I take care of my 83 year old Mother who is bedridden from M.S. She has a Polish caregiver that does her personal care. CL🍀

Terrible thing with that M.S. It's good that she has you to take care of her.

My Mom has never been alone in her life. Pops did everything, she is so lost. (87 yrs. old) I drive over there multiple times each day to help her with things, and try to show her how to manage basic home things like furnaces and well pumps, all the things a homeowner has to deal with.....she's scared. I am thankful that it is only a couple of miles away.

It has to be very difficult for her being alone but thankfully she has you. That would be great if you could get her into growing. Because anything that keeps her occupied is going to be a great benefit to her. My Mother has her tablet and FB that she’s obsessed with. She drives me nuts with it whenever she has a problem. I keep telling her that she’s FB expert I only help with the Wi-Fi and tablet issues. lol CL🍀

I've given up on soil unfortunately. :Namaste:
Straight coco with layers of perlite, bokashi and frass.
Activated with Kelp spray.
Then I feed what they need.
Hope your doing well.
Good luck with the babies. :thumb:

UPDATE:
The grow room is pretty much set now. About a 6' x 6' area, and expandable if needed. The floor is an old twin bed box, and I've covered it in plastic. There is a piece of 1/4" plywood in front that I will use to pull plants out for whatever is needed, and not get the carpeting in the room messed up.

I used to grow in the basement and had no trouble at all hanging lights wherever I needed them from beams. I can't do that anymore, it was hard to keep it warm down there, and going up and down stairs all winter is not in the cards for me.
I have heavy duty PVC pipe with metal bars inside of them for added strength, to hang the lights from. I also had two old metal bed frame bars that I put up. They sit on top of two rolling clothing racks, these are rated for about 300 lbs each, when weight is distributed evenly. I've hung one of the old Mars Hydro lights toward the front, to test thing outs. It weighs about 13 lbs. The Mars Hydro in use does not weigh that much. I think it is going to work out fine.
The kids have not been up potted yet, I got tired out. I might start that this afternoon.
They are all doing fine, except Tyff. But I still hold out hope and it doesn't cost me anything to let it try.

Oh, the White Widow XXL and the Blue Gelato 41 seeds have nice tails and will go into plugs shortly. :yahoo: Still waiting on the Donkey Butter.
That first pic is with the grow light on. You might need sunglasses. :laughtwo:

I just absolutely love that setup. :adore:
The thought and engineering is brilliant.
I love to do construction and think of interesting ideas now and then.
But you put them into practice.
Great versatility. ;)
Anything is possible there. :bravo:
I'm so glad you found the time to share with us again. :thanks:
I really appreciate it.

:thanks: @Bill284
I am all about not spending money, and things in that spare room have to remain non-permanent.
I am very analytical, and some would call me a pessimist because I like to be prepared for what could happen.
Take care, and you stay safe as well.
:high-five:
