Lady Cannafan Indoor Garden Sponsored By ViparSpectra KS5000 LED - Multiple Strains

Most likely.
I know that when I was on aquatic forums ,we would run across cannisters filters that were the same. Made at the same factory with the same materials but rebadged for a different company. The price hike between brands could differ by $100-200.
Sometimes you just pay for the name.
That one looks just like the one I have just a different manufacturer. Their probably made at the same place just a different sticker.
I have the same model. The only difference is that mine is black.

So, it must be something with that lens I put back in there. I'll take it out again today and give a good cleaning. Mine came with a mini tripod stand, but I prefer the standard tripod.
Extension rings on my macro lens set up might work too, I will try that today. I know I used to take some decent close ups of those trichs. It's not just for the photos, I want an easier way to see what's up with them other than the camera or the jewelers loop.

Thanks all!

Update 1-23-24 Grow Room
WARNING: PHOTO BOMB there are 14 photos in this set. Later I will have photos of the individual plants and my comments.
This ViparSpectra lighting makes me very happy indeed.

This is Wild Azz. She's huge. Carrying her out for a photo then back in under the mars light was tricky as hell. She wanted to fall over on me, my face was holding it steady while I carried. Sticky shit in my hair. Yeah. She is trussed up to the rolling rack that has the light on it. She will fall over if I don't do that.

I didn't see any more nanners, but I'm pretty sure there's a few seeds going.
I'll check the trichomes again tomorrow.

Last ones. Don't like them much. LOL These are about 3 weeks behind the rest of the plants. I hope they fill out a bit.
White Widow XXL grew about 4 feet tall during the stretch. I wish I had gotten to training early on it. Gangly from the start really. She reached the max of my backdrop when I put her on the table, which is about 5 feet.
Blue Gelato #41 Someone had mentioned having trouble with those. Roy Growin, I think. Well it did get out of control no matter what I tried.
And finally Blueberry, also lanky. I'll get some buds though. :)

What would you consider the effective light distance and height of a plant that can be grown under the ViparSpectra KS5000 LED?

I'm pretty much following the Viparspectra chart give or take an inch. It's on the first post of this journal.
For flowering the lights are 16-18 inches above the plants and at 100% power. For vegetative I had them around 27 inches @ 75% power.
I actually have the lights tilted on one side for the tall plants, to keep some distance. I just raise one end of each light. I have two lights in there.

Can you please take some photographs of the Viparspectra KS5000 LED grow lights as you have them mounted?

How do you find the coverage area of the LED lights, are all of your cannabis plants growing equally well?

Good Morning John. :) You can see how my lights are hung using a heavy duty rolling clothes rack in this post:

I think the coverage area is even more than what the manufacturer states, to be honest. I have about 9 x 4 feet of space being used up right now and the lights are covering it very well.
The daisy chain feature is great. Both lights are controlled by the settings of one of them.

The plants are all doing equally well, the only limitations have been my own lack of time to train them. ie; The ones that have stretched very tall.

I do a rotation of plants each time I water, just to get full coverage where other plants may have been shadowing them.

I believe they are growing much better than any other lights I have used. There is more light penetration for sure, and the canopy is even for the ones that were put into flower at the same time. I have a few that were still in veg about 3 weeks before the rest, so they are behind.

It was all three of the Peanut Butter Breath....so far.
They are chopped down and ready to trim.
Here's the trichomes on the tiny leaf:

Seems to be an awful lot of them missing the heads. I used to know why that is, but I've forgotten.....

How disheartening. I'm still going to get a harvest, but not as much as I should have.
I have to wonder if all of those power outages during the blizzard week and after caused stress. And, the seeds from Peanut Butter Breath were not from a seed bank, so who knows....

Testing the unknown has its limits!
That's for sure John. I took my chances when I started with most of the seeds.
Next run is going to be all seeds from Barneys Farm. I won't do as many plants either. The watering is highly stressful during the winter with having to bring it from outside, and unfreezing the snow first. 😝

Altering daily light with unnatural length of light periods induces female cannabis plants produce pollen, how stable the seeds and gene lines can vary greatly. It is also part of discovery when you confirm success is or is not possible and strategic on other approaches!
