Day 13V

Changed nutes to 3 part Flora Micro, Flora Gro, and Flora Bloom. I feel like I have more control over the three part method and the plants seem happier. Currently feeding 4/5/1 ml per gallon (week 2 early veg on GH feeding schedule).

They are beginning to take off. :)

I'm not ready to top yet, even though I know the yield will be better. :bitingnails: Figuring I'll learn the characteristics of the plants this first go around and wait until my second grow before I do any alteration to the plants.

My brother recommended me to not train or do anything on my first grow, just let the plant do its thing. I am really glad I didn't listen to him. I have learned so much by taking the dive and learning what the plants are capable of taking. And the lessons I have learned on my 1st grow have provided roadmaps of where I want to go on my 2nd grow. Dont be afraid to take one plant and do a little bit with it.....you still have your other plants to learn from, but the learning lessons you will get from training will be invaluable (especially if your end goal is to have maximum yields. These plants are far more resilient than you think they are!!

This is a great idea. Thank you! Not sure why I didn't think of it before, but I have two Northern Lights growing right now. I can easily choose one of them to experiment with.

There you go....play with her, try different techniques that you read about or watch on youtube. It will give you a better understanding of how that strain reacts to different things (keep notes....I have a word document where I keep all my notes from different things) especially on that strain because each strain can respond differently. I did ponytailing, topping, FIMMING, LST, suppercropping, defoliations (man I was nervous to really cut that many leaves) all on my first grow. I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but halfway through my first veg cycle it seemed like second nature. This site is such a wealth of knowledge and the people are so willing to help (unlike anywhere else I have visited...there aren't many egos or attitudes here and we all want to help everyone starting out because we all know what that first grow was like).

Yes! There have been many forums over the years that I have visited or been a part of. None of them were like :420:
