Just a quick shout out to those that have helped me out so far. I know I must be frustrating and hard work at times but hey, at least I’m keeping you on your toes with thought processes and resolution and growing advice! But in all honesty I appreciate your help and wouldn’t b a bike to get through this grow without yas. The bad news... the grow isn’t over yet!!

Cheers

DAY 53 VEG

First of all, for those who have just stopped by. the amount of growth will seem odd to the amount of days into the vegetative stage. There have been a few bumps in the road, a lot of mistakes and learning(still)going on and so on. I wouldn't say its all under control but I'm starting to head in the right direction i think.

Due to the slow growth upwards and tight internodal spacing i was posed with a few questions, racking my brain singleing out every element of the grow trying to figure it out. I decided that i still am trying to optimize the new Led light i am using with this grow. The previous two grows were autos under a 600W HPS so in a way they pretty much looked after themselves. After back and forward conversations with @Pennywise (cheers mate) i have raised the light to 28" yesterday and at 100% intensity and this morning there is a bit more praying of the leaves going on and noticeable growth. So I'm thinking I'm getting close to some sort of sweet spot. Also the pots seems to be drying out a bit quicker. Hopefully this means the roots are a bit happier and on the move. I have been foliar feeding with Aloe Boost daily at lights on, but i have read it is better done at light out? Could you please confirm that @Emilya.

I have been incorporating some lst to 3 of the ladies and hopefully in a few more weeks they will start to kick into gear.

The two Bruce Banners are way ahead of the other two stains in growth

One of the Black widows is going really well but the other as i have mentioned before is a problem child, or maybe i might have been still a bit heavy handed with water?

Yes, foliar is usually recommended for right at twilight, so that the water droplets on the leaves do not turn into little magnifying glasses to intensify the light on the leaves and burn them. Also the stomata open up at this time to take in nutrients in an evening rain and to exchange gasses without the intense daytime light intensity, so it is the perfect time to feed the leaves.

Well i think so Penny. As i said they seem to be going through the water slightly quicker so maybe the root zone is a bit more comfortable/repairing so it could be a combination of both, Will let it run for a few days or a week and see how it goes. If they start to stretch big time i will slowly lower the light till i'm comfortable will the upwards growth i guess.

Perfect mate thanx. So i'm presuming wait till the light just clicks off then give em a mist?

if she only perks up temporarily when you water and then starts to droop again, I would say that it is a good bet that the lower roots are underwater all the time and have partially shut down. If you watered and she stood up and stayed there, then it sounds like underwatering.

Thanks so much again Ems. :thanks:
After all the advice you have been giving me on my watering issues, if i'm not one of the best reading/watering growers around then i have fail as a, trying to be, astute student of yours!:laughtwo:

Ok I think mate. I’m actually away from home atm for a week and have left the tent to be looked after by my stepson who is housesitting whilst we’re away. I have left strict Instructions as to what has to be done. But as with any young child that we are away from you I do worry.

So my worse fears have come to fruition whilst I’m away on holidays. My stepson has been the caretaker of my grow whilst I’m away, however yesterday the region experienced wild winds and storms and have now been wigg Th bout power for 24 hrs. It is supposed to come back on today. They are still vegging and I’m worried they will start to flower due to less light for that long period. Suggestions any one please.
