KelticBlue's 2017: Soil, Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunnan

Wifey doesnt care. 5-6 hits in the morning and on and off thru the day probably will not matter. she has only been doing it here 20 years or so. :ganjamon:

It is the spirit of the email that gets me.....

I will get back to the journal here in another couple of weeks and start a new grow. I have a dried up plant in the tent with no time to tend the garden. But I have fresh gro kashi, EM-1 and BAS re amendment. So I am about ready to get with the fire this summer.:yummy:

Did a little garden to de compress today. Chopped the old dried up girl who died from drought.... o_O
it was a home-made reg seed and I grew a girl. So happy enough with that success. I got plenty of reserves.

I tilled the top of the earth-box to see how much amendment I might need. At this point I say none. Every bit of leaf and trim has been eaten up soil looks good not much compacting. Might get a topping of rice hulls but I think I can plant a seedling in a peat plug direct into it.
I gave the reservoir about 1/2 gallon gonna see how that holds up tomorrow, if it is soaked dry I have another liter and half which should saturate top to bottom. Then let it cook, 2 weeks, see how much micro activity is still left. I am going away again, southern skies call, should be back in less than 10 days. OK, that is 9 days.
What to grow next... I need to have stash in the pipeline so a Fem is calling but I have Zam-D x Pan Regs. There is something about watching for first pistil on a reg seed. I am out of control. I have time to decide.

I would like to drop week of 9feb full moon on the 9th. And be at 12/12 lights by 29feb. I am leaning toward Thai-Chi for a fem. Or Nep-Jam. I dont want to over power my wife with sativa but she will have to deal. I am growing the katsubluebird bubba kush this next fall as a target harvest before turkey day.

Here is what is left in the tent.....

The after effect of weeks without water.........

the main

Back in the tent for the soil to simmer. covered up and watered down.

If needed, I can top with grow kashi and water in EM-1 and maybe push the grow back a couple of weeks. So far the soil looks good for a seedling. There is a ton of roots that could decompose a bit. It smells fresh and is airy. I hope it is not too hot for a seedling when the time comes.

Are you planning on bonsaing the Jade?

My suggestion would be to plant the Thai chi next. The Thai they use in that is the same one as my ThaiPan, which leans very heavily towards the Thai mother. It's a beautiful soaring sativa buzz, but it's not racey at all. You can smoke it and sit and chill. It's great for social gatherings as well.

Are you planning on bonsaing the Jade?

At this point trying to bring the jade back some health. It was a gift, me wife doesnt like it much.
...... If I can save it I will:meatballs:

Thai Chi, sounds good. The wife found the Zamal-D a bit to spacey. I think it was the lack of ceiling combined with the creep factor, she just smkoed too much before she realized. I find 3-5 hits of ZamalD to be right on target. Raised sensation factor without loosing touch. My ZamalD cob is super sweet right now. But I like space-y.
I am mixing it with the auto Diesel, I got tons of both. Hits good and easier to manage intake for her.
She comes back to our northern nest in about 2 weeks. So I have been checking jars and stash spots today.

My ThaiPan can definitely get spacey if you over indulge. o_O

I need to start using filters, I have a small zig zag roller.

Is just rolled up 'tips' I think they get called. But yes I got filters too, I forgot about em.

I have gotten used to the raw roller, but I wish the 'fabric belt' was a little better, less stiff, i dunno. I might try a zig zag for comparison.

It feels good to have a sprout in the garden......A Thai Chi is born.
breeder description:
Thai Chi is a new sativa/indica hybrid with a perfect asian genetic balance. It's a direct cross between a new pure Thai sativa from the northwestern province of Chiang Mai, and our 4th generation Kali China elite.
this is what I am looking for:
extreme vigor, strong branching, prime quality euphoric psychoactivity, high resistance against fungus
More Info:
The Thai phenos have an aroma of natural incense and cured wood that will delight the 'old school' sativa lovers. The expressions with stronger Kali China influence have a more complex fruity terpene profile.

70 % sativa / 30 % indica

I have experience with the KaliChina a wonderful family of terpenes. yummy.

What to expect for bouquet:
Sour grapes and astringent bitter lemon in the foreground, then earthy with spicy notes of onion/garlic, and cured wood, incense, chocolate, green tea, mint and lime of classic Thai flavour, with a blackcurrant flavour lingering in the mouth as an aftertaste.

So this one is going to test my training. I plan on taking it down to 11 on/13 off light schedule quickly (before the months end) with almost no veg time I probably will not top this baby but tie it over and down best I can.

I dont know when it broke surface exactly as I was not home but the peat puck went into soil Feb 14. So I call it a feb 16 birth.

The seed had a tail and I put it in the peat puck for about 24 hours in a warm place (light fixture at 80f), the into the earthbox soil.
Here is the preparations on Feb 14.

And this morning the sprout. Thai Chi.

My soil is in good condition. It is light and airy and I have had mycelium mats growing on top of it over the last couple months as it sat waiting for the next grow.
I put a new mulch cover on. I am trying red, probably not a good idea (may cause additional stretch) but what the hay. I have gro kashi and EM-1 as my simple feeding plan. Lets hope i dont screw it up....
:ganjamon:

I’ll be watching the Thai.
Thanks PW. Got some special genetic in it. I am itching to drop a random in a small container next to it. I got the itch. :yummy:
maybe get some pollen on the thai....Like i need more seeds. I Think I am gonna concentrate on sensi this time. I cannot wait to fill the tent with thai.
:snowboating:

There’s is mainly Lao right along the Thai border.
Is that the northern boarder one? It looks to be related to China Yunnan. Interesting one. I wish Ace would reproduce their Chia Mai one. That's the one they use in their ThaiChi and ThaiPan, along with their 3rd version of golden tiger.
