KelticBlue's 2017: Soil, Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunnan

Taking a break from the action, first thing this morn, plant got about 3 liters, the last 1/2 liter being an EM-1 water. I am going to got to need to really right now order more EM-1.
The plant has a healthy enough look, could be better, the dry air is hurting it. Still is a bushy bush not a lot of node spacing. I should get a couple of pretty flowers and have a good grow. I got spoilt by that Zamaldelica yield and the easy growing auto Diesel had good yield.

So for the upcoming month or so I get to see how well our Mystery Babe does with little or no attention, I finish my last work duty on the 17th, then this bird flies to southern skies. I have to get the missus on a med card in the south. We are almost there with the card. Silly bizness, in our home city Med Canna was approved in 1998 by almost 70% vote. {{Govt crap prevented it from happening till 2013}} But we never needed no card to get our sometimes pretty flowers.

Back to the missus, she is semi retired and has almost no identity other than a driver license. So i got to put her name on an utility bill down south then she will be all good. I just cannot get all the flower she needs from here to there without stress, i dont need no stress. I have this zamal-D cob that is prime cured right now I would love to get it to her.
... Feckin, I cannot smoke it, so, Might as Well share, someone might as well live the elegant way.
:rollit:

About 10 captures today
Here is the Mystery Babe this morning.......

the general overview of the top, I had bent it over giving it a quick inspection and general abuse.

Look A these (hows it spelt?) stipules? They are so long and elegant.

more of the stipules, hard to capture clearly, long and pointy.

Randomness top down looking

node with damages preflower, I handle roughly.:ganjamon:

I did a DIY water distill photo shooot a while back, but never posted. So this is how I homemake some distilled water, it is time consuming and tedious but come winter I have some time to spare.

My tap water is terrible for the plants, here is a parts per million reading of my tap.

So I take the biggest pot I have to boil water in and place a 20oz cup on an pyrex cup in the water and place the cover upside down so the water vapor form drops into the 20oz cup.

I use this blue cup it is on a shot glass in the picture.

here it is boiling away with ice cubes on the top to help form the drops....

gotta watch splashing water can get into your distilled here is one reading after distilling.

Here is another try. I was more careful.

A general U,tubes search will show how to do this more clearly, it is how I started to figure it out, easy enough for me so if I can do it anyone can. :ganjamon: o_O

How much water can you distill at one time?

Hey PW. I am in a good mood today, how you doing?................

Good question not much really, slo and steady. The blue cup is 20 oz. prolly take 3-4 hours to fill it, get it to about 16 oz. So...? ...Maybe ~ a gallon a day, little less. Since I dont dare sleep on the project, not running the stove top whilst asleep. But if I can get 2 gallons in 4 days. I am easy good for a week and more with just the one plant. The earth box only takes about ~ a gallon at a time.

Another note
I can fill the earthbox more, My technique is to raise it on the end with the over flow hole. The overflow is on the end where the Canna plant is. So it works out pretty good.

The Earthbox and E-box jr like mine the over fill hole is number 7. So I raise that end put a tray under it and just fill till it over flows. my kind of operations is like from back in my mechanic days, measure 3 times with a micro-meter then cut it with a chain saw, not real precise.

Cleaning day, getting the tent ready for flower and an extended absence.

Hey where did the plant go? Empty tent floor. I cleaned then wiped up with SNS 244. it is a fungicide. Sierra Natural Science, They are sponsors here. :reading420magazine: Looking at the sponsors page I see a new one, geoflora, hmmm I have a cloth pot that I could use. Hmmmm,...:hmmmm:back to the show

All wiped up

I need a new 'mulch cover' aka "Shower cap"

I elevate this end so I can pour more water into the res without over flowing.

It was right after these fotos that I decided I wanted to orient the container opposite direction. I forgot I had watered the res with the elevated end up and all. It got heavier than I thought. So I spilldt about a full liter,..... so I cleand up the tent floor a second time, glad it has a spill tray. geeeez:goof:

The theory is to use the probiotics and effective microorganisms to form mycelium growth which in turns allows the minerals to be available to the plant, in a similar way to the human digestion. The mulch cover help keep the water use regulated and I think they say it takes 1/3 less water.
I have had problems but not since using the EM-1.

Plant seemed to stall over the last week or so today it seems to be getting its mojo back. And as we close in on 12/12 lighting. I think I am at 13.5/10.5 right now. I shortened 1/2 hour earlier this week, going to take another 1/2 after friday night.
took an overview, might start showing some deficiency. Hope the top dress starts breaking down it has all I need.
could be the pink-ish light

Most people do aerobic teas with LOS (air bubble aerated) But the EM-1 is a lactobacillus made with
anaerobic digestive microorganisms. Fermenting and composting make the Micros Effective. Works good in the earthbox.

Best DIY LOS starter stuff I found was the unconventional gardener, bokashi recipies and such....... it is in amygardner's sig for quick reference. wonderful stuff
&
also here farmer stuff

:peace:

Emilya has a thread for making lacto bacillus from running some milk through the stages of rot. It's a great read!

Indeed that is the way it is done. By saturating with milk (lactose), we prevent other microbes from proliferating. get your curds and whey going. the L. bacilli bacteria is anaerobic, doesnt need oxygen.
Pretty sure most of my techniques are sourced from the old unconventional site:
  1. Cal phos from egg shells
  2. Beneficial Indigenous Microorganisms(BIM)
  3. Sprouted Seed Tea
  4. Biochar charcoal
Lots of great stuff if ya got the time. Time is not my fried today. :snowboating:

I gotta tag @Weaselcracker to this post for these links.

The plant liked the EM-1 and water blast it got last week. It has more vigor and health this week. I like what I see. It is small but Okay. Lights on 13 to 11 dark for the last 4 -5 days and pre flowers are everywhere.

A look at the general health first.

I should have some more EM-1 and amendment but cannot seem to track it down with my apartment complex people.
another day.
