KelticBlue's 2017: Soil, Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunnan

Thanks PW
I am working with the DSLR trying to get used to it in the garden. I friggen dropped it today. argh
Still good fun learning this beast.

The canopy is super top heavy with this one, nice sour citrus getting loud.

flowering nicely, close to the lights but not to close

top bud on the sweet one, minty floral smell here

a lower one down in the back corner of the tent

I am happy with this one

A little bit of color in this one

one of these down lower might get pulled for a taste test end of next week, maybe, maybe not, i dunno.

the pair, I pulled it out to grab dead leaves and clean it up a bit, the humidity is beating it up pretty bad
The one on the right is very thick in the middle soilid with flower growth.

It was heavier than I thought, made my back ache.

Chunky buds bud...take care of that back

Thanks Jim. I been spending too much time with meArse on the couch i am afraid. In my defense my couch is very comfortable. I can be couch locked without being "couchlocked".

Is the sky blue where you are? I love september days with bluest of blue skys and lingering summer warmth. Back in my drinking days I would be on my second taste-y-drink-y by now, 8am.

So to keep with the photo log.

I have the DSLR out in the tent first ting today. A cannon rebel t4i. I have been using 2 modes but just not feeling that good about it. creative auto and macro modes. I normally use more manuel modes when I shot with this camera. But I sux with manuel mode in the tent
Trying to perfect the settings. One of the problems is I shot and adjust then after I get them on the computer I forget which is which. Like these 2.

Pretty sure they are both macro mode with the white balance set different. I got to start writing stuff down, geez.

I like the first one better, What I want to do is combine the setting selections of macro and creative auto modes. I know I can figure something out.

Gardening is too much fun, Grate day!

I'm very happy that I haven't had a drink of liquor in over 15 years. How does that happen? Keep living and don't drink is what I heard in the AA rooms. Skies are surely blue the past few days. It's still hot.

I prop up on my bed or the sofa or the recliner if I've not in the grow room. In there is just an office chair but a comfortable one. I'm retired which to me means I'm always high. Some times more high than normal. Some times I know I must drive.

My camera skills suck....I just put the thing on Auto most of the time. My mind won't let me work with lighting and shutter speed. That's like riding a bicycle and throwing a football. Stay safe.

That is what wifey does. As long as I keep her stash full. I go back to work in October. I need the work keeps me crazy, errr or is it sane.

I can see my plants are getting ripe not quite there. The smell is certainly dank-ier on the sweet one. It is way more loud than the sour one.. I am glad I pollinated the sweet one. It has some terps lots of terps. It has a touch of purps as well.
bunch of pictures with the point and shoot today.

up close on the frost mostly...........

just a teeny tiny bit of purple but it is there.

This is the sweet stinky one. It has branches growing horizontally out ... alot of them are parallel with the ground funny little plant

And the main stem flower is pushing foxtails all over.

This one here is decidedly less stinky but still a sour citrus. fading leaves and chunky swelling

Now a crap ton of close up. cloudy and amber to behold

I thought this was cool, under a 5 blade

randomness

One of my horizontal buds... :yummy:

bright lights blow out the color

the inners have ambers

a good bit of healthy trich

I liked this one, with the stigma withering

Just a touch of purple in the base

random frost

random frost or robert frost?

more

And a beautiful flower

I got coffee stewing.. be right back:snowboating:

I haven't had a drink of liquor in over 15 years.

total respect. My parents were Irish and my mom liked her scotch, god rest her, by the jar full of Johnie Walker. You will understand.
... Me I dunno? At some point in my forties liquor stopped liking me. Some sort of allergic reaction. I can have one but it wipes me out. So it happens once in a while, usually with my son. But I am wiped out for 2 to 3 days after. I feel lucky in the regard, I escaped the merry-go-round of it.

...One drink is too many for me and a thousand not enough...

I feel the same way:peace:

But Wait there is more

I took a sample off the sour smelling one. It appears to me to be the younger one in terms of ripe ness. And also the easier one to grab a tiny branch. So I figure I will abuse that plant. I ahve it on the cable tv router box thingy. but not before it had a moment in the sun.

Looking out my window.... :yummy:

sure looks yummy

a nice sunny day

Not really ripe yet

yes under ripe me thinks

healthy trichs

work has me jumping a bit this past week more fun next week too.

Got home just before light out so I took some quick looks at the seed pods an other such. I want to start a progressive harvest, the top half of the sweet one and leave the seeds pods for now to mature.

Here is a seed pod looking straight on

a couple of seeds the one on the right looks mature

this seed is in position for photo, here is a couple of it.
:peace:.......:peace:

looking up into the multi color disco lights

the disco light effect..:smokin2:

This is one of the FoxTails growing out from the main cola. There is a bunch of sideways growth on the sweet one

A close up

without a warning the lights went out So I grabbed one of the sour tops under the pink light. It gets about 5 min of this light after the main cobs go out. then Darkness.....

I got more t up load later.

Good question. I would rather chop in 5-7 days. I want it to swell a bit more. It started a reFlower and the smell is getting over sweet like a sour sweet.
But I am chopping half in the morning, It will be quite an old hash plant when I get back...I dunno see what happens I guess...
My wife is having problems, nuthing too serious, yet. Her sister is sick and in denial. SO, I gotta go down south and see what I can do for poor wifey. But first I have some training and work related travel to deal with monday. Lucky my travel is on the way south when I get to georgia I am just gonna keep on going.

Here is some more shots with the DSLR today.

This is the sweet one, I am chopping just above the lower canopy, the seeds are down low and going to stay for now.
Thes seeded bid is the bottom center bud with yellowing leaves in the next 3 pics.
Sweet one, the column of bud
sweet one....

The sour one. This is a nice plant too, top heavy.

They both have side branches and foxtail growing straight out sideways

A bunch of the seeded bud

I chopped a side branch off the sweet on so I could get a look into the main stem. I am looking for mold and yuck now. There has been too many day of high humidity and rain. The plant looks good I dont see any problems. And In big news It doesnt look like it will be to hard to trim. It is solid but not cmpact. the foxtail are letting air flow circulate. I have the intake air aimed right at the middle of this Plant. Fingers crossed.

I chopped this bud let is sit in the dark for about 6 hours maybe 8 hr, then trimmed all the little parts of the twig and into a paper bag and in the fridge.

A quick update with a partial harvest. it is in the window and has shown a slow down on the drinking. It has age variation due to the re veg. No problem And it was much denser and thicker than I thought.

It is the sweet smelling one. I did take a branch of the sour one but it is not pictured.

Leaning up against a bottle of baileys, in the window this morning

The weapon of the dirty deed in the frisbee.

Then trimmed of the stem, it will go into bags and the fridge in about 5 hours.

side view.

Smells good very exoctic, It doesnt smell like regular flower it almost smell like food.
but to me very smok-able. I am estimating at least half a jar with this bunch. And at least another Jar still in the tent. Good enough to get me through till next year, I hope. I have not really tracked how long it last. A jar every 2 -3 months? Wifey smokes maybe 2 -4 pipes a day and a couple big doobies a month.

Here is some more. I went looking for mold or what not didnt find any it looks very clean. The buds were packed together pretty tight around the main stem. They have a pale green on the inside. tons of trich stickiness.

I took this one out by the window for pictures. I also looked around with a jewelers scope checkin the innards where there was dead leaves and everything looks good, the humidity had me buggared. But all is well now.
just a tiny inner bud

some of the trichs are getting wrinkles and drooping but looking goood over all

This is from the sweet plant.

couple of more close ups

In the bag,..... this bag has the bigger nugs I took some out seemed a bit full here. I hope to get half oz dried from this morning.

Here is smaller nugs. I also have 2 smaller bags. One has nugs from the sour plant. So 4 bags in total so far.
The place reeeks.

Right now I should be back on Wednesday day to check on them. Plan might change.
