Already getting frosty😎 Any smells yet?

Already getting frosty😎 Any smells yet?

Nothing major yet.. the occasional whiff of a scent.. they throw off smells when I move them around but that’s about it. I expect the smells to settle in over the next week or two now that stretch has slowed

You can see the frosty one is flowering fast. It’s the Runtz Punch. It already has trichomes building, the color of the plant shifted from dark green to olive, the stigmas shifted from yellow to white/cream and it started budding earlier.

I am disappointed with the height of the plants. I have a feeling it’s going to be light related. The DLI hitting the plants was only around 25ish toward the end of stretch. I bumped up the intensity and we’re at 30-32 now. I’m gonna start bringing the light closer soon as well. If the colas aren’t going to be as long as I want then I’m gonna make sure the buds are as fat as they possibly can be

I'm not sure about the others, but if I recall, Blue Thai is indica dominant and only has a 50% stretch or so. It may be a shorty by genetics.

Jesus I can’t believe I didn’t think of that 🤣🤣🤦‍♂️

So going forward, if I have an indica dominant I won’t run the colas horizontal, I’ll just let them go after their final topping.

I’ve got at least 4 growth sites (closer to 6-8) on each cola so I should still be able to really fatten them up nicely

Yeah for sure you can fatten em up. I haven't grown many indicas but the ones I have were all untopped and 4.5 feet tall at most. They are beautiful little plants, I just don't like weed that zonks me, I like weed tthat wakes me up. Untopped though, they form postcard perfect plants.

This made me laugh.. of course a rich libertarian is actually a federal rat.. I’ve always said a libertarian is just a republican with weed 😂 all of these rich people and all of these politicians and businessmen are all rat faced liars who only want to protect their self interests, that’s it. They don’t give a fuck about us at all, any of us. This guy has taken hundreds of millions of dollars from the federal government and is a federal rat but wants you to believe he doesn’t want a federal government to exist. Welcome to reality

I’m not gonna defoliate anything this time around. I have started bending back fan leaves that are covering parts of the colas or casting shadows over the buds. Instead of taking the leaves off I am going to secure them with garden wire off to the side. This way the plant has all of its power generators and batteries for flower, and the buds can get good light coverage.

I have the light at 100% currently. I am skirting right along the edge of too much. The top layer of leaves across the blue Thais are showing me serrations letting me know the light is intense, but I really want good penetration since my colas are shorter than anticipated. The apple Betty that I’ve abused has great examples of too much light which I’ll show later.

They are all beauties, but that bottom one is really nice😍 It trained perfectly. Those will be nice pillars. They look like they will be chunky when they are ripe. 😎

They look like they want to start chunking up. This is my favorite part, when there’s still so much promise and mystery. You’re bordering on seeing the work you put in come to fruition, literally. It’s magical 😂

Took the outdoor photo down today.. looks like a hefty load

Love the colors she made. Those look like dense, fat sativa buds man. Wow. Congrats on the chop!

Nice! That'll fill some jars for the winter😊

I’m awful at estimating weight.. When I think it’s a high yield it’s low, when I think it’s low it’s high 😂 I’ve just started lowballing. Told my wife it looks like 3 ozs at least.

I have 25 colas. Some are 24 inches long some are 12 inches. It averages out to around 18 inches per cola.

3 ounces should be a lowball number

She was pretty pretty. It was interesting.. one cola grew purple, one grew red, some grew blue. If she was grown with more intent it probably would’ve shown even more.

The buds feel nice and solid.

One thing I have noticed is, outdoor plants seem to put on way more vegetative mass. I have far more sugar leaves to trim off than I normally do indoors. This could be either a result of the environment or it’s more likely that I prune and train indoor plants and mostly leave outdoors to do their own thing except for a bud defoliation after stretch.
