Update Last night I topped off the res wit 10L of RO water. 10ml of G/H calmag. 25 ml Grozyme. I set my ph back to 6.0 with 1 ml of ph up. This morning before work it had crashed back down to 5.2. So after 1.5 ml of ph up had it back to 6.1. Now 12 hrs later it is back to 5.0.

Same stage of growth?
How is your ppm in that 12 hours?
check every 24hrs to see if the pH or ppm is changing from a baseline of 600ppm and 5.9pH
if the ppm rises and pH drops your nutrients are too strong,
if the ppm drops and the pH rises your nutrients are too weak,
if they stay stable is the right mix for them
this system has current flowing only through the bottom tubing ?

Thank u for stopping by. The strain is budda kush/Tahoe og. The plants in the RDWC system are all at the same stage of growth. They r different heights because I wanted to know exactly how tall to get them in veg before I flip them to maximize my ceiling height. My ppm is slightly rising about 50 to 100 ppm in 12 hrs. I mix 1 ml of cal mag to 1L of R/O water =ppm at 400 with in 5 days it is up to 530. By topping off my res I can only get it down to 480 ish. I guess I need to ask can I add straight RO water with out calmag to the system? I have run many problems in the past in soil when I have neglected to add the calmag to RO water. Any help is much Appreciated. Thx

So after looking at the chart above I am going to do a res change tonight. It will be one day early but I feel it is the right thing to do. I was giving them water last week so I will feed them over the week to come. The plants r showing symptoms of something not sure what it is. The ph has dropped from 6.0 to 5.1 in 8 hrs. C if a res change helps the problem

I know they r very dark. If I was in growing this strain in soil I would back my N off by 10%. Even after my res change I am only at 1000 ppm. I don’t want to increase it to much until I c how the behave. 1 thing at a time I hope. Lol

The two feeding styles I'm familiar with are topping up with straight water until a drop in ppm low enough and do a complete change. Or top off the res with pre mixed nutrient solution until the solution gets too strong and change out then.
I've never had an issue topping off with RO water if my res has sufficient nutrients for the size of plants in the system. Something like 1-2 gal per medium to large sized plants. Your system seems more than large enough. Any foul smells from the res or roots?
