So with the instillation of the oscillating fan I had to place my carbon filter in the tent finally. Guess the colas get to moving and rubbing up against each other and stink up the place, or it could be the cat drenches :hmmmm:. Either way when I got home from work the wife told me our house smells like your garden so had to do something lol.

Yum! Plants looking awesome. Love the sickly sweet smell of BCP!

:passitleft:
Wish I could pin down the smell, but the whole house has been sick so it's saying something if we can smell it lol :passitleft:

What's the latest news on your garden sir? I know you just harvested but I'm excited to see what you have next!

I'm in transition sort of. I have 2 BCP clones, a Slurricane and a pupil Magoo in flower now. They look like poopy because of damage from a sulfur burn which I did to take care of some pm. They also started flowering 2-3 weeks before I flipped, probably due to stress. Smells are amazing! I'm hoping to get a decent crop. Ma6be I'll grab some pics and do an update even though they look like poopy, ha!

Did the smell get any better when you placed the filter inside the tent? Is the filter fresh?

I believe so, will have to check once I'm home from work. You know how you get nose blind to a smell when your around it a bunch. The filter is new my last one was clogged because the carbon was packed too tight and improper installation by me :(

Yeah I get you on that one. Remember once I was out with the dog and came home to the apartment building. As soon as I opened the door down stairs the smell hit me like a punch in the face. That time I had taken out the plants from the tent for harvest. Now days they never leave the grow room before they get bagged.

You tried to reuse the filter case with new carbon? I tried that once too but never got it right. So now I change the hole filter once a year. It's getting time once more now I think.

Carbon filters...yup..just love my 'Can#33 ...almost 6 yrs. old now...still performing very well. Couple things to help your filters last a long time.
1......Always change the pre filter ..keep it nice and clean.
2......never run your exhaust fan at 100%....keep it between 65 and 85%...no need for it to be screaming away at 100%
3......when sweeping up grow areas ....turn fan/filter off so not to get clogged with sweep dust /dirt , etc.
4..... oversize fan/filter combo for your space, so u can run it slower with much better filtration thru a speed controller.

A few tips to help your filter perform and last much longer.
Cheers gang!:circle-of-love:

Honestly the filters are so cheap now I don't feel like screwing with it to replace the carbon, plus I'm not the best diy guy so it would just piss me off lol
