KB Follows The Hi Brix Road In DBHBB

Hey Killer! Speaking of,Smell-O-vision, I'm getting a hint of,cherry pastry from those pics! Seriously, are they stinking up,the joint yet? They look very much like my BCPs with that node spacing, nothing like Vans baseball,bat colas but I did get 8 zips!

Van, I'm interested about this watering every other day. I've always done about 4 days, in 10's and 15's with 1.5 and 2 gallons respectively. I'm gonna try every 2 days one of these runs.

So far the smell isn't over powering yet. My better half says when rubbed it smells like raspberry lemonade and I'm good with that too! Bought a new carbon filter but haven't bothered to set it up yet. I know it's early but my guess for the bcp will be between 3-4 zips, a lot can change so will just have to stay tuned :passitleft:

I'll venture a guess of 4-6 from that beautiful girl! Mine purpled up pretty good but she also had some very cold temps to deal with, sometimes in the 50's but mostly a low of 62. At that stage yours are in now, the smell was so amazing, I looked forward to opening the tent everyday, would open slowly and stick my face in to get a good whiff, ha! :rofl: both girls look awesome, very frosty! Wait til they get their cats! :high-five:

That's what's up! I'll always be chasing that most fragrant best tasting weed. My temps won't get below 65 since the tent is in my bedroom but bag appeal would be nice.

No I don't find that. I don't really do a lot of trichome checking anymore unless the strain has me confused. I kind of go off looks unless its a time/space issue that causes me to harvest a bit early and those looks generally coincide with when they stop drinking. The stems will start to discolor on my plants in the end as well. I don't know....I am very observant on my plants and can just kinda tell when they are done. I also tend to err on caution when harvests as well.....for sativas I would rather take them a touch early rather than late.....and for Indicas I would rather let it go a bit longer for the more sedative effects. Those are all just my preferences and thoughts on it. I am sure if you asked 20 other growers you would get at least 15 different answers. Experiment with it....only one way to find how you really like a particular strain. Clone it and run plants again and harvest at different ranges and find what one really hits your sweet spot.

I think that in good soil, you have a pretty decent harvest window. I know I hear Duggan and a couple others talk about 2 week harvest windows on a lot of strains and I believe thats probably very true. For me, when the pot stops getting lighter every other day, or if I see any run off from a normal watering routine.....the plant is within my harvest window.

My yields have gone up a bit as I have up'd my watering frequency. It was talking with Bobrown and his auto pot system and how much water he goes through for his plants that got me thinking. He is in smaller pots than me, but giving more water per plant than I was on a weekly basis and getting bigger yields......hmmm.

So I started scaling the amounts of water back a bit, maybe 25%, but just water every other day....but I don't do that until they really hit their stride in flower. If you have a few grows under your belt, you know when I am talking about. Its like suddenly that pot is getting light much faster (now thats relative to the pot size...my 15s don't get as light as the 10s obviously) and thats my signal to start watering more frequently.

Since I have switched to that watering method (along with a couple other tweaks to soil and switching to rainwater) the yields are all up across the board. I don't know if the water is specifically the cause but it certainly hasn't hurt it!

Gave the ladies GI drench yesterday and I come back to find the bcp has a new perm. Seems like the hairs grew a half inch lol. Don't mind the blurple lights, those buds aren't purple.

Nice KB, looks like you're keeping them happy! Love those long pistils...

Alright lads, gave the first of two cats today, let's see what these genetics can do as far as trich production :cool:

Cant wait this should be good :high-five::bravo:

I'm just as excited to see the roots as final bud lol!

This meme is also the name of a Netflix movie. It's decent and worth a watch if you don't have anything to do.

:slide::slide:...tree looks to be in a 26 gal. pot......:reading420magazine:
How does your back not kill you with all that soil !?! Lol
