From what I've seen of hempys, they are much the same idea as those air-pots that OMM is using aren't they? I think I would go with those if I could get them and wanted to get into dirt farming. I actually find DWC to be much less fuss that dirt but to each their own.

No, unfortunately we're going to live with my folks for a few months and rent our house out - Dad's got a bunch of health problems, and he's too big, 6'6 220, for my Mom to move once he falls. Figure this will buy time to figure out if he has to go in a nursing home.

Anyway, on the hempy buckets, they are basically a bucket filled with perlite with a small hole in the side two inches from the bottom, with a drain tray underneath. Here's the thread that kinda sparked my interest - best passive hydro I've seen yet.

Your stuff is looking fantastico. The scrog is a pain in the ass now, but wait till its done stretching and everything. No more major maintenance. Knowing the way you change res you might go the last 3 weeks without ever touching the plants.

I plan to run unchanged until maybe 2-3 weeks into bloom then nail them hard with fresh everything and hopefully some bud enhancers. If the money is good I may get some organic hydro nutes and feed them that for the last few weeks. Even flush for the last week. How novel is that?!

Probably the 2nd ScroG would be best for that. This one could be like a control to establish time lines, performance and taste/stone. Then do all the new stuff with the 2nd and have a base of comparison.

This Kali is such a head rush that 10 seconds after your first toke you won't remember what it tastes like! lol

I'm trying to talk the wife into a stealthy outdoor grow this summer but she's not to cool with that idea. Probably best not to do it here but I need to control the light cycle as we get 22 hours of light all summer up here. Maybe I'll just buy 50 cheap auto-flower seeds and plant them a few miles away. Still have to HEPA filter my room, start a new 5 Gal CO2 generator, distill the last one, install 6" ozone exhaust system with water recovery, build or buy a couple of decent light hoods, preferably air cooled, build a veg room tied into the bloom room and yadda-yadda. No rest for the wicked around here for damned sure!

22 hours of light, you must be up north by Thompson, mb. lol. planting a bunch of auto seeds would probably be the best way to do it.

Anything you do with them here is very complicated. Tons of paperwork, certification, insurance etc etc. I was considering buying a small business to mow and spray leases but it's nuts to get all the shit done and big $$$.

Lotto tickets. That's the only way to get rich around here. lol

It's the main part of my retirement plan!

I'll be working 'till I drop in the harness. My old man worked hard all his life and died the year before he was to retire and never got to party. I partied hard all my life and plan to work till I'm done. More fun that way IMHO. I'll move somewhere where the fishing is good, live in a shack and pump gas in my golden years if I have to. A patch of pot and good book will be enough.

I never knew you was able to work !! Congrads on going back to work !! I still have a class1 lic, but i'm not gonna stop smoking , so it don't help me a lot !! I hav'nt drove since 2004, but i'm still able and would love to go back to work, but the rules are just to tough for me. And when you add in the agravation & expense involved, it's not worth it !! Damm, Taking a 70 ft moving rig, into & out of those residencial areas, Was a trip !! But i did it for 30 yrs., and i miss it !!

that one sounds really nice, and i've had really good luck with barneys also....love that daylight....lived in wainwright, outside of barrow, and loved the day and night changes....lavendar

Hey bro, we have some experience with auto's. Have 6 popped as we speak. AK47/Blueberry and Blueberry. Love the smoke, although 2-3 ounces is normal for yield. We have pushed 4+ ounces from a previous AK47 auto. Hit them with lots of light early on to get them as big as you can. Then 22-24 hours of light continous until harvest. Good luck brother, keep em green.
