And getting lovelier every day...
Tui the Trainwreck is working away behind the scenes busily building buds for me, what a good girl she is.

So I was wondering why the aircon unit is struggling to cool the air effectively. Turns out the big pipe taking the hot air outside is radiating heat straight into the intake at the rear of the aircon unit negating the cooling effect. A quick trip to the local aircon shop and 6mtrs of insulated ducting fixed that problem.

After talking about topdressing, I decided to feed the beast...
:morenutes:
Time to break out the goodie bags...

Guano: 4 handfuls.

Opulent bloom mix: 6 handfuls. I'll add more of this stuff in a few weeks.

I just spread handfuls of the stuff around the top of the pot, straight on the mulch.
I was going to use the aircon water that drips out the back of the unit to water in the nutrients.
So I filled the sprayer with the aircon water, added a drop of h2o2 to oxygenate the water, checked the pH, which was about 7.8, added a drop of pH down, and it dropped to 4.3 instantly.
So I tipped most of it out, left maybe a litre in there, and refilled it with filtered water from the town aquifer supply, pH 6.4, perfect.
It takes about 10 min to empty the sprayer. I use the head to push down into the mulch and wash the amendments to the soil. The angled head means I can get all the way to the back, and down the sides as well.

Hi there 420 friends, welcome to my new journal where I go off the rails with Canuk Seeds.

It's a Trainwreck... you won't be able to look away.

Thanks to our wonderful sponsor @Canuk Seeds , I've been given the opportunity to grow some Feminized Trainwreck photoperiod seeds.

A little about my setup...
I'm growing in a 3x3' tent (1mtrX1mtr)
I'm using a 30gallon (114ltrs) fabric pot.
The substrate is living soil.
I'm using 2x 140w Lucius Bar R lights.
I'll be using dry amendments as well as liquid fertilizers. All organic.

Let's get this party started...
Jungle Joe, Looking forward to catching up here as I track down other Canuck Seeds 420 comparative grows. @2Water is running a single Trainwreck in a big pot. My 3’x3’ cabinet could be perfect for one big plant vs the four I always grow. Cheers

Learned a few things here JJ between pages 1 and 14. Getting real interesting now. Beautiful plant and training. Cheers
G'day cr8grow, good to see you.
This is definitely the most interesting part of the process, when the buds form. Cos let's face it, that's what we're really here for, big sticky buds.

Got rid of some leaves that were hiding bud sites. It helps light penetration and airflow circulation. Got to keep the humidity down now and all those extra leaves are creating moisture. Moisture is no bueno for bud production. It used to scare me that I was hurting the plant, but now I know that's not really the case.
Snip, snip...

In anticipation of the stink to come, I upgraded the filter. It's a little bit bigger...
The extractor fan I'm using has 4" fittings (100mm), and the new filter has 6" (150mm), so I was looking for a 100-150 adaptor but they only had a Y joint. So I'll just make it work.
Also got some more yoyos in anticipation of big fat buds that need holding up 🤞
