Jungle Joe Goes Off The Rails With Canuk Seeds

Hey thanks Wakkaderpin for the follow, I just realised there's a bunch of people following me around and it's kinda creepy (jk) it's kinda flattering. But I don't wanna be the leader of the pack, cos that's who gets in trouble when the shit hits the fan 😂
So once I figure out how to do it, I'm gonna follow all you followers back so we all follow each other round in circles, just like nature intended. It's the Fibonacci sequence...

As I squish the stems a bit, you can see the knuckles forming... like a prize fighter, toughening up for the big match 🤜🤛

Question about your knuckle busting and squishing. I often do the same when I find a unruly branch or stem. I'm not sure why but when I damage a stem or even a larger mature branch all growth above that point escalates. It's like she thinks she's dying and tries to finish. I guess maybe its on the same level as topping a plant. Only with topping a plant your actually removing plant mater. Even still the plant goes from damage to repair and moves forward with rapid growth. What's your experience with damage? I'm pretty brutal with my plants and they always respond in positive growth.

Few years ago in a greenhouse I spit main stalks on a few plants and actually bent the whole plant over more than 45°. Crushed about 2-3inches of the main stalk and over she went. A few others I took a box cutter and split the main stalk and drove a large stake in it. Again the same result. They both were in flower and exploded with growth.

This is a fresh bend. She left a big knuckle by the end.

I swear it's a fact that damaged stems have more vigorous growth above the damage site. I've done it numerous times with the same results. There's a limit that a branch can take though, so I often err on the side of caution when I do it, and some strains react better. When I say 'better' I mean the branch doesn't split, which can let disease in as well. Honestly, even then they still handle it.
Bloody amazing plants if you ask me...
:passitleft:

I took a couple more leaves and twisted one branch over a bit because it was racing. If one top is starting to get ahead of the others I will hurt that one deliberately to slow it down a little.

I'm debating whether to top again so I have 8 heads, or to concentrate on 4 main cola's and flip a little earlier. Buds in jars is the goal at the moment, so I'll probably go for option two.

If you keep her low and spread out you should get plenty of colas without removing another budsite. You could have put two or three plants in that 30gal pot..lol. Why have you gone so big? I can see why if you were vegging in it for 3 months and then moving it outside to flower but your not doing that.
I'm just curious and asking questions..lol. I'm assuming you've used the larger tub before. How developed did the root system get. I would guess they had plenty of room and no root restrictions at all. Just wondering how the roots ended up. Is there a lot of unused medium or do they pretty much fill it up?
I've never used anything over 7gal for a photo grow. 4x less than what your in. Does the extra medium make a difference for you?

I intend to use the same soil repeatedly, amending it when necessary, and leaving the roots to decompose in the pot. That's another reason why I went so big, I can grow multiple Auto's in the same soil.
As for the roots, I had an outdoor plant in a 10 gallon fabric pot and it pretty much filled the whole thing, so I guess one plant has plenty of room to spread out in 30 gallons 😂
It also means I have to water less often too.
Couldn't find any pics of the roots in the 10 gallon so here's something else to look at...
