Well, while Nick was actually high today for a change, 
, I was working. Heh. But I have the first very small batch of kief off the Apple Fritter useable drop. This stuff came out a darker, sort of dirty gold type color. I usually find this color to hit harder than the whiter stuff. So of course I tried it. Yup. It hits so hard I had to put my head down and ride it out. I’m talking a full two or three minutes. That’s forever. Maybe I’m just used to the others, but Christ is it strong. And you know what that tells me?
I really screwed up a powerful and high thc plant. She’s going again ASAP. This one must be gotten right. I know from experience that the kief is a pretty good indicator of the plant (in reverse kinda, lol). This is an auto that’s a keeper:

This is now officially the longest in days I’ve personally ever had an auto go. This girl is just taking her sweet time finishing. All I’m giving her now is water and calmag. Trichomes say take me in Jonland, buds say not so fast. Btw - remember when autos were faster? Lmao. Bonus shot at the end of a double rainbow I got lucky and caught yesterday.

She’s still drying, but I had taken maybe three or four branches early, and one was dry enough to trim. It seems I have underestimated this plant. Despite my attempts to kill her, this bud is dense, smells great, and has plenty of trichs. There’s also tons of it. I will say by way of a PSA that if you are stupid like me and burn off all the sugar leaves so they are all browned and still on the plant, it makes the trim a huge pain in the ass. Don’t do what I did.
I’m wondering if forcing her to finish with no leaves caused the buds/plant more stress than usual and the plant responded with growth and trichs.

The questions I asked Remo concerned the possibility of getting some crispy leaves in flower, why, had they heard that before, and what’s the fix. Shed, you and I began talking about this and several others expressed curiosity as well. So….
1. YES! They HAVE heard this before. Not often. I got the impression strongly that it’s a strain specific situation.
2. Why? Their mix is hot for flower. Simple. You must measure carefully and accurately. One ml., unlike with PB, makes a difference with Remo.
3. The Fix: rather than I interpret for you, here’s a cut and paste of Reno’s direct answer:
Depending on the height of the plants, sometimes they just don't need as much food. We try to recommend something that works for all plants but if you've grown for some time, you know every strain eats slightly different...auto's especially. Easy answer, keep your feed strength at 8ml/G for the duration of flower (vs going to 10ml/G).
Ah! Of course. And yep, that is indeed an easy answer.
So that answered that question . Then I asked if there was any better way to get Remo without having to use the Zon, and was there a discount for 420 members. And guess what? Here’s a lovely cut and paste that answers that question too!

Is it awesome? Nope. Is it decent? Yes. I’ll have tons of kief, it lost power and terps in my damage. Maybe 20-22% weed. Not nearly the 31% I might have gotten had I not F-ed this poor thing. The kief is somehow amazing. I don’t quite understand that.
We were at 31.2 ounces for the grow. Add 5.7 and we’re at 36.9 ounces with the Pink Rozay left. It’s not 13.1 ounces, lmao. I ain’t getting my 50. Maybe 42-43 though. I think the PR is an 8 ouncer or thereabouts. Not terrible for 8 autos.
