Jon's Sneak It In Auto Grow

Don’t worry if the one doesn’t pop right, just drop another seed. I don’t mess around with autos. I feel I can’t afford any lag days or makeup time. If it doesn’t pop out of the ground to my liking I usually pull it and begin again. Just two cents for you.
Its just a box ticking exercise to do it once really. Not sure what’ll do of if the slow coach doesn’t ignite. Probably put one of the spares in. Won’t be the Blueberry. They look amazing. Probably Hulkberry - Bruce Banner by another name. Love that stuff and have 6 more in the safe.
But def a one time thing - apart from outdoors maybe.

What’s the breeder of your Hulkberry? I grew a lovely one from Greenpoint Seeds. Yup BB#3 x BB#3 mine was.

You might take a shot with some XL or XXL - some companies call them Super Autos. Bred to be big. That’s how I got 13.8 ounces jarred from an auto. Almost all mine are either XXLs or Super Autos. Some get every bit as big as photos. And quicker.

Clone Fairy
Sometimes my day holds a surprise. Today, quite unexpectedly, a single clone came my way. I won’t say how, but I’ll tell you there was a box and an LED little flashlight involved. Well, that threw my day for a loop. First thing I did was get on the phone quickly. Next thing I did was get her into something….anything…right that second. All I had on hand was about one gallon of FF HF, (old), so in she went. I was advised given the journey to not stop to take pictures, but it had very nice white roots sticking out of a cube. It had also not been fed in three days. So, I tossed it in a one, and fed the Remo week 4 veg regimen. That was around 2pm this afternoon.

Here’s what my female photoperiod clone of (Lifesaver x Sour Bubble) #7 looks like now. It’s the seventh pheno of the cross and Yoda’s favorite. Will she recover? I have no earthly idea. And what if she does? I have no place to grow it except outside. I guess if she lives I’ll let her go outside and try to fashion an adequate light block and just let her go.

Still, it’s quite a surprise, and I’m told I’m the only the second person on earth to grow it (it’s a Yoda-made cross). So that’s exciting and an honor, but also exciting is my first clone!!!

At least til she dies. Lmao! Having never tried this before, I can’t see a comeback from this. But Yoda says don’t worry, it will. We’ll see.

Congrats on the clone and I'd say lower light for the first few days given its time in the box!

I got one that way from the east coast (an It's It Punch) and it turned into an LST'd beast.

Might have to take yours to PA with you! :)
Thanks @InTheShed - I have her on the floor of the Blurple Closet, under the Pink Rozay so she’s basically in the shade, I just moved her out for the picture. If she makes it she should begin to stretch she’s getting so little. Do you suggest I keep her shaded like this until we get a sense of the recovery (or not)?

I seem to recall you were one plant short in your tent. Any room there to get her started while the others finish?

Is this one you'll plan to clone yourself to keep it around? Especially since it's a favorite or your mystery supplier?

Final Deflarfication

So we’re about 3-4 weeks into flower now, and now we can see what’s what. I did the final deflarf (@InTheShed would be proud and probably say “that’s all you took?” Lol!).

Hey @KeithLemon - see that pile of leaves and stems and buds I took? I’m not gonna lie - some of those hurt me to take and I skipped them a few times. It’s the hardest part for me. Even though I know damn well it’s the right thing to do. In about a week or ten days we will start to see the payoff big time. But when you take stems that are sort of thickish and already have a string of pearls on them, for me - that’s an ouch moment. Lol.

Anyway, here’s the pile and some examples of results. The pile is actually another third bigger that is still on the floor of the tent. I’ll show an overhead after I switch to the rising chair and can raise up. It’s much easier to water lower in the cheapie electric I’m sitting in.

Lol! @Azimuth - plenty of room in the Blurple Closet so I put her in the shade in there. 20/4 is fine for her for now. She’s getting less light than a seedling, as I liked Shed’s suggestion and was on the same page pretty much, and as Yoda said so too. Low light and let her recover. It’s too cold at night in the tent. I have it going down to 62-63 degrees. Too cold for her at first. As far as what I’ll do with it? One step at a time, lol! Let’s see if she lives first!

I know you have very little experience with less than perfect plants, but from those of us that typically grow less than stellar specimens, we can assure you that cannabis is actually a quite hardy plant.

It is sometimes nicknamed 'weed' for a reason. I mean, have you seen what @Danishoes21 does to his plants? Yours will be fine.

:laughtwo:

Btw - I started in soil. I know soil better than coco. And I had more than my share of plants that needed fixing. I got fairly decent at it. I can look at this plant and see I’ll be able to save her. Piece of cake. But you know….just in case I gotta hedge my bet and play lost in the journal.

They look great Jon and I believe you when you say the payoff is worth it.

I meant to ask a while back but forgot Jon. What did Yoda think of your mega light set-up?

Garden

So here we go post-final deflarf. I think the girls are ready for a quick one on one as well.

1. Garden Front View

2/3. Garden Back View, overhead and chair level

4. Dos Si Dos

5. Platinum Mimosa Cookies XXL #1

6. Platinum Mimosa Cookies XXL #2

7. Watermelon Wedding Cake XXL #1

8. Watermelon Wedding Cake XXL #2

We having fun yet? I’ve worked my ass off on this tent. Now I get to sit back and watch the show with you guys.

Feed Notes:

When I do a major final deflarf as I did today, we are now talking taking branches, not just leaves. The plants feel this one imho. So my response is to ultra-feed today. As high and hot as I’ll go the whole rest of the grow. Why? Because I feel the plant can use the extra juice when it’s in repair mode. Simple as that.

Per gallon:
- 10 ml across the board of Remo flower feed
- 6 ml Calmag plus Iron
- 2 drops MSA (40%)
- 6 ml Kelp Me Kelp You
- 5 ml Canna PK 13/14
- .4 tbsp. RGR
- 6 ml Wholly Mackerel

It’s kinda hot. Lol!

That’s what we have going on. Show me some yellow tips!

Thanks for stopping by!
