Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

They look amazing! Can't wait til I can grow outdoors someday. They look pretty healthy considering the high temps and here I was worried about 83 in my tent lol.
Thanks bro:Namaste:I never did understand why temps need to be so much cooler inside, most strains come from places with extreme temps and thrive in it, alot of people say that plants stop growing after 90 degrees or something but they sure dont outdoors, I had the same weather last year with 40 7 foot cheese plants outdoors and they loved it too:)

Hi Jon. Everything looks awesome. :thumb:

Ok so I got my first attempt at supersoil mixed up

Grats Jon! How many plants/pots will that fill?

I am recycling my first run of about 45 gallons of super soil I will let you know how that goes. should work out good.

You mean you reuse the soil as supersoil again? Do you re-amend? I thought I've read that some folks turn used SS into base soil for the next round.

mmm..I think there is still a transition period so to speak because even thought the clone is fully rooted on the mother it is not using those roots for nutrient uptake yet, its still getting everything it needs from mama, so there will still be a period of little growth while the clones adjusts to getting its food from its own roots.

That was my concern when you guys discussed using this technique to make larger clones. The technique still looks like it will be useful the way you're proposing though. Just don't make them too big before you but them off the mother.

Are you sure they are actually growing when the temps are that high? I'm sure they still grow that day, but I thought there was some biochemical reason the growth processes shut down above a certain temp. Besides, isn't most of the "growth" at night? My suspicion is they do pause during the peak heat, but as soon as temps dip back below whatever that maximum threshold is, the plant resumes biological activity.

I always enjoy hearing updates on Jon's latest experiments. :)

I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere that the difference is soil temperature. I could be completely wrong but I think plants outdoors can take hotter temps due to the ground staying cooler vs indoors. Whereas in indoor hydro you can regulate water temp which gives you the ability to grow in hotter temps. Also another shot in the dark would be c02 levels. Not sure what level c02 is outdoor vs indoors but maybe that's why? Completely guessing tho

Thanks bro im really happy with the way things are looking right now, every plant in the room is praying to the lights, thats a really good sign.Im going to do a video update as soon as I eat something to give you guys a better perspective on how big these girls are.

I honestly have no idea how many pots that will fill, theres 16 fifteen pd bags of base, 50 pds of worm castings, 25 pds of cocco, a huge bag of perlite and 20 + pds of amendments in it so thats around 350 pds of supersoil, since you only use it for the bottom half of the pot I think it will last awhile but im going to make another batch at the end of august just to make sure I have enough to last the winter and once I figure out how much I need to last me 6 months I ll only be making it twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.

That air layered clones has only been in the pot 3 days and its showing new growth so I think theres definetly some time savings with this tecnique, especially if I can get the first round of training done while its still on the plant, I want to ubt them before I air layer them, im thinking this will mean much bigger plants after 60 days veg.

some people do re-amend they're supersoil but I think im going to build a large compost box, Im picking up a nice big lawn tractor with a bagger set up on it so I think the lawn clippings combined with all the coffee grounds eggshells and whatever else combined with the used up supersoil is going to make for a really nice base soil.

You might be right about them only growing at night bro, im out there every morning and they are definettly alot bigger everyday, I think the really intense sunlight is whats making them so frosty though, they are just oozing goodness right now:)

Bro your garden is amazing. How much did that nice shiny little mini split set you back?

I am going to be upgrading my room soon and will need to step up my ac btu's.

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Thank you Shotta:Namaste: It cost me $2700 delivered to my door and worth every penny bro, It took 3 of us to install it, mainly because it comes with a 25 foot lineset thats already attached to the head unit so we had to do some manuvering to get it into place but other than that it was really easy, hook the lineset and power up to the the condenser(the whole thing is powered by one plug indoors) put the cover on and thats it bro no HVAC guy needed, it comes with the pad for the outdoor unit as well.It also works well as a dehuey, its pulling 5 gallons a day out of the room:)

Great video bro!!! I agree that PK looks like it came off a big ass deer. That room is awesome, I'm not sure what I like better, the outdoor/your indoor, its really a toss up. They're both amazing. Looking forward to seeing it in person.
