re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Good weed Jon and i mean its all good weed lol.
The M-L plant looks bushy and shorter than the others.
Thanks WB and a good weed to you bro, nope shes the same height as the rest of them but Ive been training her for what, 4 or 5 months now so she is definetly a bush bro, its the biggest indoor plant Ive ever grown and only day 9 of flower so shes gonna get alot bigger:)

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

thanks Maxi:Namaste:they are recovering nicely bro:)

Hey man i know we are both looking into LEDs and such so i wanted to get your take on these lights and this company working with a farm to get their lights right. its a 400W led that is meant to go in direct competition with a 1000W hps/mh. each light well the 400W covers a 4x4 area at ideal high. They also go into the cost savings of the light etc on their website. Also what has been mentioned on the Chinese led companies thread is that we want light companies to work specifically for our plant right and to be research kinda done in this aspect. well seeing as this company has been working with Kushington Farms for over 3 years as they claim they seem to be throwing pretty decent lights out for our market. Let me know what you think. (USA based company btw should make you lot happy :P)

So in this video they are giving different lights with different ratios i guess a go to see which preform better. kinda cool in my opinion.

Hosebomber made a comment about those lights in Sara's thread bro, I think they are good lights but he really knows his diodes and he says they are lying about some of them, that some of them they claim they are using dont exist, but you cant deny that Jason is getting exellent results with them, personally I think the Area 51 light with all Cree diodes is the ones I ll be going with next:)

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

How many heads did you top the M-L plant? 4 8 16 lol.
originally I trained her for 8 main colas but she was to tall when I brought her in so I topped the 4 tallest shoots and now she has 12 main branches but 2 nights ago I tied them all down so even the secondaries are getting pretty thick and are level with the mains, shes a beast bro:)

Outstanding dude!!!

wooooweeeeee! that is gonna be one HELLUVA crazy harvest! :cheesygrinsmiley: u making me wanna set up a soil tent and get my hands back in the earth again! loL plants are looking very very healthy and have great colour, some great training and those bud sites are setting wonderfully.. an excellent example of how to grow with soil, indoor.. and get RESULTS like a BOSS ;]] can hardly wait till the last 3 weeks to see this shit get MAD

and thanks for the reps too brother :Namaste:

keeping it green man :goodjob:
p.s. behind every great man is a great woman (rolling her eyes) LOL ;]] and i completey know how ya feel bro! sometimes you have to let the woman offer up the plan.. its all part of the balancing act of life :cheesygrinsmiley: i told a mate of mine.. "bro! with your next harvest, set aside ATLEAST 50% of EVERY dollar made for your kids and mrs... and let her see the benefits of green in complimenting/supporting the family and she will come round!" as she was a bit anti him growing.. and sure enough, new vaccuum and shoes for the mrs, new clothes and shoes for the kids.. food cupboards always stocked.. tin always full with spare cash for 'emergencies' and now she's suggesting shit for his next grow! and giving him ideas lmao ..

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Thanks for the kind words brother! Im liking soil alot so far, it is so much easier to move around in there now and the plants are twice as big with the stools gone, I was up until 4am lollypopping the girls, I got half of them done so far, sure is nice being able to just slide plants around as needed instead of crawling around under them,im confident I can make this perpetual supersoil style work for me yield wise, its just a matter of dialling in the veg room really, I ll have to see how big the girls are after a 63 day veg, if they aren't big enough(simillar to the size of the girls in the flower room now but a little shorter) then I ll have to work in a 4th zone for an extra 3 weeks veg so a total of 12 weeks veg time but 4 plants every 3 weeks will go into the flower room.I really like the idea of harvesting less more often, makes for a steadier income and less work all at once.

Yes my wife was on the fence about me growing at first but she went from driving a 1999 Chevy Lumina to a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder and I do a few upgrades around the house just about every round now,and like you said, the cupboards are always full, bills are always paid on time and she gets to buy new clothes whenever she feels like it, happy wife=happy life:)

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

you guys remember that Air layering experiment I was trying out? Well not only does it work but it works really well! Check out the little root ball on this clone!

The way I understand it is once you figure out a good way to do it it will work 100% of the time as long as you keep the medium wet. This is a great way to get clones off of those hard to clone strains:)

re: Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

I got the lights mounted 2 inches from the ceiling using metal banding, this turned out to be alot trickier than I thought, getting the bands lined up with the gaps in the diodes was a pain in the ass and then getting them to sit level wasnt easy either but I got it done an man I should of done this along time ago! the coverage is awesome now:)

I also did some supercropping on the far end under the hps to get the canopy somewhat even again.

Next spring I ll be building a greenhouse out of pvc and vaporbarrier very simillar to the garden of weeden ones, Im going to pound metal pipes into the ground every 2 feet and use pvc pipe to create the ribbing and cover it all with the vaporbarrier, im thinking big enough for 200 autos:)

If you havent seen Dave's vids they are a must watch for outdoor gardeners, full of useful tips.
