Jon’s 3 Autoflower - 3 Pounds Attempt Grow

Day 75

I have been waiting on new batteries for my raise up chair. Finally got them. Wow did I have a mess to deal with. This is an unimaginable amount of bud and my arms are sticky to the elbow. Stinks to the high heavens too. Wow.

Here’s a before and after: I have five stakes holding up colas now, and defoliated a rather large amount of leaves.

Hi @Jon, how are you doing, the plant in the scrog looks monstrous ;).

I really enjoy watching so much precision and direction. Your pound plant is really something to contemplate.

Excellent work. Looks flawless from my point of view. Having a plant like this, one doesn’t really need to have 3 others.

:Namaste:
Thanks man! Had I known it was going to explode like this I likely wouldn’t have had the others and gone photo or something!

Since the Forbidden Runtz, as we can all see, has zero chance of being a pound plant (I still think the other two might be), I’m gonna admit defeat on the three auto/three pound when the time comes. But I’m also going to hope that the four together including the White Widow will get to 3 lbs as a consolation prize. That still wouldn’t suck.

Day 76

Okay @Rexer, let’s take a look at that first node branch we kept. A few things about it:

- it’s the most productive branch of all of them
- it ends in the largest cola of all of them
- it is by far the longest branch of all of them

This one is confirming for me what I already knew - the first node can be quite productive, and with autos sometimes it’s prudent to keep it. I say it instead of them (obviously there are two first node branches). This is because, just like every pair of nodes I’ve ever seen, one is always more dominant than the other. In this case I killed the smaller one and kept the dominant first node. Here’s the result.

There's that first node! Some of them are killer, others meh. Slayer there!

Agreed! And thanks. Yeah I’m learning how to read the nodes in terms of production. I’d say more often than not they’re meh. But this one was so much thicker than the one I chopped it was an easy decision. I only keep them for certain training styles, and only with autos. I see no reason to keep the first node or more with photos.

Wow! That's a wicked cola! I'm glad you kept it- and I'll be keeping more of my first nodes moving forward (on autos).

Outstanding. And what a freakin amazing beast of a beautiful plant! :adore:

I am going to harvest that last. Take everything else except what’s on that branch. I’ll take pics. I’m so interested to see. I think it’s responsible for that big cola and four others, not sure anymore. Lol.

Melissa and Medusa Day 45
White Widow Day 35

Everyone is in flower. White Widow just beginning to stretch. Hard to see how huge the Watermelon WeddingCake is in the big tent, but I just measured it and it is 39” wide and almost 40” tall. It would not fit in the 3x3, and it dwarfs the last one which gave me almost 13 ounces. The Forbidden Runtz is no joke either despite being a bush. It’s no pound plant but will be super laden with big buds. The tops are stretching away from the ring as per my direction. The weird thing about sombrero training that makes it work so well is just that - in the stretch, the tops separate themselves from the lower ring. By the time they’re done stretching you end up with two zones, and if you have enough space the light becomes irrelevant essentially in terms of blockage. I can do whatever I want with this light in this situation. I just kicked in the flower booster now that everyone is in flower, which pumps my wattage from 550 to 680. They’re at around 1100 at the tops and around 800 ppfd on the lower rings. Good numbers. Now I simply let them grow to the light. Their prayer angle is perfect and they are loving life. The White Widow is going to be surprisingly productive. So far I’m a big fan of the genetics. Very even and very consistent growth, could be a bit more robust but she just started flower so let’s see how she does. A year ago I would have told you 3 pounds from 4 autos is impossible. In this case I’ll be surprised if it isn’t.

Order: Melissa (WWC), (2) Medusa (FR), White Widow

The other plant:
Oh…my……GOD.
You can’t be serious.
How tall will you let it get? How long is your season (when will it harvest)? How many up pots before the final pots? Strains?
Sorry to pepper you but Oh my GOD.
So are you constant dripping it or flowing on a schedule?
THANKS!!!
This is another reason you bear the title Sensei. I don’t hand it out lightly.
Jeez…..

Thank you. Emilya and your constant talk about watering in soil helped a lot.
And Shed's, yours and Bill's up potting pictorials made transplants much easier.
Oh…my……GOD.
You can’t be serious.
How tall will you let it get?
The height on her is out of my control. I'm a bit worried about stretch. I'd like to keep her low enough that i can wheel them in the garage to finish under a light....i imagine itll be too cold come time for harvest if i leave her out till the end.
right now, from the top of soil, to the top of the colas is roughly 35 inches.
How long is your season (when will it harvest)?
I wish I freakin knew. Like @Bill284 I'm feeling those cold mornings with a bit of worry. I just looked and it's 55-65 days of flowering according to the breeder.
How many up pots before the final pots? Strains?
hmm solo cup--> three gallon plastic pot---> 5 gallon fabric (for the bigger plant), 7 gallon fabric on smaller plant---> to final 50 gallon pot for both.
The smaller was started later.
They both were started last winter when i was growing out of the kitty litter containers.
Sorry to pepper you but Oh my GOD.
So are you constant dripping it or flowing on a schedule?
As its my first Photoperiod grow, and soil grow, ive just been feeding/watering when she's droppy and asking for more..usually after letting her droop for a day (to get her roots to stretch).
THANKS!!!
This is another reason you bear the title Sensei. I don’t hand it out lightly.
Jeez…..
Lol oh I'm no Sensei, but thank you. I'm just tickled silly over how big she is. And cringing over how cold it's going to be come harvest time!

Why did I get a pic?
I'm jealous. ;)
You find a frame to throw over her yet.
Make a cheep one and poly over her.
Help stay warm and dry.
Easy peezy :thumb:

You got the first round of pics. ;) . And the small glory that can be said to have seen her in her infancy in person . She was the one I offered a clone from.
I was able to successfully clone her. Ill try and keep her clone as a mother plant for next summer, or to give away (hint hint)

I thought about the polly, and i have kept my eyes open for a used car shelter (and passed the word around).
Once their inside, and finishing....I'll probably go paparazzi on them.

My biggest worry with draping her with poly is that I'll forget to take it off one morning and fry her. At least this way I can blame nature, instead of me:rofl:
