John's Wicked New Grow

It's a good idea to do the same thing between grows. It's one of the reasons I like serially monogamous tents. All plants are the same strain, same time into the tent, same water requirements, and same harvest date. It lets me use simple automatic watering, and I don't need to visit the plants more than twice a week. As I've mentioned, I work very hard at being as lazy as possible. :cheesygrinsmiley:

If I remember correctly aphids don't live part of their life cycle in soil this time of year. They stay on leaves, and are moved to other plants by the wind, or are carried. There are no eggs, it's all live births from the spring until later in the year. To overwinter they lay eggs in the ground that hatch in the spring. It's a weird lifeform.

You're right Old Salt and thanks.
That is a weird lifecycle.
Usually up here, when the ground is frozen at least six feet, everything dies that's in the ground.

If Roseanne were smoking a joint,it'd be ok....otherwise,no non-cannabis related videos,except in off-topic.
They removed my "burning down the house" video-I knew it wouldn't last long ;)

Really, that too bad I saw that post and really like that song.
Talking Heads, right?

Lol. The Ultimate Warrior will keep your garden safe.
I liked Randy Savage myself. He always looked like he was going to explode.

Yep, he's my fav. :cheer:

Old Salt I agree 100% on steralizing my tent from top to bottom.

I even de-funk all my tools.

I have done this since the first grow.

We're definitely on the same page. :snowboating:

I finally finished cleaning up, washing all the floors, left my clothes outside, showered and feed myself.

I took my time and I'm confident I did my best job.

When the soap gets here tomorrow, how do I use it and when?

I'm still creeped out with those bugs.

Talking Heads, right?
Right !- I actually thought they might leave it,since it was part of a legit safety discussion
about smoke alarms and growing in a cardboard box...but rules is rules, and I broke one.
how do I use it and when?
You might have to ask @InTheShed what dilution he uses for the Castile-I don't think I've seen it posted, but I could've missed-his journal is a biggie!

The girls in the tent are reaching for the lights not being tied down right now and look happy.
When my soap comes I will treat again and hopefully that will be the end of the bugs.
I looked all over again and didn't find any today, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any hidden.

Today the girls'outside look nice and have more growth.
What you see here is the
"Red Neck" version of
"how to water a potted plant with bug's"!
All were fed with cal-mag and FF grow.
I looked everywhere and didn't see one bug.
The soap came just now and we'll treat tomorrow.
Looking like a T-STORM may pop up tonight.

Sorry, just catching up! For 70% iso the dilution is 1:9 iso:water. 50/50 is too strong.

Lol, I mixed 91% at 50/50 and there still alive!

Maybe that's why the plants in the tent don't have bug's.

Better late than never, thank you shed.

I don't think you should use that strength on anything with trichomes.

I won't do it again, I Post yesterday that I was getting drunk on the fumes.
Kinda like a model glue high.
Pretty strong alcohol.

Better late than never, thank you shed.
Yes,thanks,Shed!
Sorry John-didn't mean to mislead you (about the iso)-I've apparently always mixed it too strong when I've used it -luckily there were no bad effects on the plants.

As @InTheShed mentioned, ISO will dissolve the trichomes. It's one of the solvents folks use to make CCO. That said, ISO can be used full strength on a plant, except wherever they have trichomes.

I used it in late flower on branches that were infected with mold. I first removed the affected buds to expose the branch. At harvest, I found mold in the buds above the treated area, but none below. I missed it as the mold was inside the bud, with no outward signs. I tossed the top 5" (12.5cm) of the branch, just to be safe.
