John's Wicked New Grow

Good morning all, before the crack of dawn I finished all my daily chores outside.
I didn't mean to be disrespectful last night but my body couldn't go anymore.
So here's where we're at.
The plants that I actually found the bugs on were put outside for the night. I pop up T-Storm
came with a vengeance.
Amazingly, the outdoor plants actually look better than when I put them them outside last night.
Here's some photos taken a few minutes ago.

But the one that was most infested had some new

leaf damage.

The next photo are the"cat girl", that were left inside.

I intend to treat the plants inside first.

So my question is . . . To avoid any leaf burn, do I treat them after light's out, or light's on?

I took the floor out, used the vacuum and thoroughly bleached the intire tent before my body gave out last night.
So now I'm waiting for my next instructions. My sincere thanks to all that are helping me remedy this new problem.

One more question, do I need to use my rain water that's already pH or can I used tap water to spray them ?
I hope I can use tap water.

@oldsalt, I left the lights running, usually at 0800 it's light's out.
I'm going to use 50/50 alcohol until my Castle soap arrives.
I joined a temporary Amazon prime, just to get two day shipping, it should arrive I a day or so. I'm sincere about getting rid of this problem as soon as possible.
Do you know if I treat before I turn off the lights ?
@carcass probably won't be getting up for a couple of hours being on the west coast.
Who can blame him, I'd sleep in too.
Thanks again for you help in dealing with these plant killers.

You can use tap water. It may leave water marks.

The thunderstorm last night will have helped the plants outside at least a little, by washing some of the aphids away. Take your time and get it right. It's not something that will kill your plants today.

I'd start with putting plastic around the stem at ground level to catch the aphids before they hit the soil in your pots. Next spray heavily with water, from both the top and bottom, as they seem to like the underside of the leaves. If you are going to use alcohol/water for your next attack, let most of the water dry off of the leaves. Add a few drops of dish soap to your water/alcohol mix to act as a surficant. Repeat the treatment again before lights out. Unless you see hordes of the aphids, all you'll need is the alcohol/water mix after your first treatment.

Don't spray under lights.
I've dealt with them for house plants and a pretty aggressive toward them. I started out by spraying as many as I can off of the plant, I used a showerhead. They are pretty easy to get off that way. Anymore that I found I just killed with my fingers and dropped into soapy water.I used a peppermint oil to keep them from coming back. You won't want to use oil on flowering plants. You can spray it around the outside of your tent as well

My first clue that I had them was their honeydew that they excrete. It makes the plants very sticky. The honeydew brings other pests in as well.

Well do and thank you for your help.
I'm glad to get cracking on this right away.
A little leaf discolouration I can handle.
Great idea about the plastic, I'm more encouraged now for a successful mission.
Hopefully, I can save all.
Silly question, because I'm afraid of another infestation, when should I bring the three outside, inside?
Or can I continue to treat outside without getting new bugs on them.
I'm hoping that the treatment will chase any new bugs away.
Yes/No ?

Okay, so I spray them now outside of the tent in the bathtub, spray inside of tent while they are out and put back with lights out. Is that what your saying?

I'll also change the shower head to a portable unit, put plastic around the trunk like old salt said, let dry and treat in the bathtub and put back with lights out.
Do I have that right?

Well do, old salt.
I just checked my Amazon order, the Eucalyptus soap is arriving tomorrow, the unsented on Friday.
That sucks, I guess it's going to smell a bit around here.
Going to use the first one to arrive.

I'd bring them back in just before lights out, and right after the the treatment. Your indoor plants I'd shower, treat, and put back in the tent just before lights out.
I'll use the hose with a light spray nozzle on the ones outside.
I'll put them on the deck, alway from any veg.
Then treat and bring them inside.
The thought of bringing them inside before I treat makes my skin itch.
I'll wrestle a bear before having those creepy little bugs on me.
I know I'm weird.

Okay folks, time for me to get to work.
I'll check back in a few, just to make sure I haven't left anything out.
Wish me luck. :green_heart:

Here's number one, I just don't see spraying these are going to do the trick I wonder if it better just to tape it up real good dump

the whole damn plant upside down in a bucket of solution.
The Gatorade bottle is used for size.
Not going to have enough to do the tent, so I'm going to use bleach mixed with flea and tick shampoo.
Stop me if you think I'm going to do more damage.

Yesterday it took me over an hour to strap her down now I had to untie them all, crap.

Thank you for looking out for me Ms V I did check the bottle and I even called the company before I did it it's all good but I appreciate the love. :green_heart:

My little sister did that once she mixed ammonia and bleach in the bathroom good thing I stopped by to visit. I had to drag her out of the house and call the emergency people.
There were a plume of gas in the air you can see it it was pink.
And she was 41 years old you think?
I put her through college now she's an educated idiot.

Well,I slept through a lot...It sounds like @Old Salt has you headed down the right path...
I'm glad I re-read your bleach post- I almost soiled myself when I thought you were going to spray bleach on your plants...but you weren't,and I didn't,so we're all good!

I measure twice and cut once.
You know carcass it's old school you and I.
By the way good morning.
