I think that's the one Ms. V said she really liked because it has a replacement probe. I guess you don't have to buy the whole unit of it goes dry.

You don't need to replace this probe if it goes dry unlike blue lab. You simply rehydrate these with kcl solution. You only need to replace these if they break.
Of course you'll want to keep it in solution so you have the best reading possible. The little kit makes it easier to take care of the pen imo.
 
I also recommend getting the 3m kcl solution along with some extra calibration liquids. You'll need the 7.0 and 4.0 for sure, may as well get them now so they are handy. I think this pen can do three point calibration if you need it to.
 
I should probably know this,but why do you need the 4.0? I'm asking because I got a big bottle of 7.0,but I didn't think I needed the 4.0...I'll get some if I do need it,though.

do I need to buy there brand name liquids or can I buy generic ?
 
I think you want the 3m solution for sure. There are different kcl solutions on the market and not all are compatible. I don't think that the calibration solutions need to be name brand.

Found a spot on an outdoor plant where, probably, a imported cabbage worm burrowed into a side stem. What a sticky mess. Played taps and cut the branch and burned it in the pit. She was early flowering. Just climbed on a step ladder and applied Bt dust.
By any chance do you know if anything else that works on those blasted b*stards?
One more thing, I remember you asked about the dogs shrimp additive. You can use a diluted mix with water at the start of flowering and again at the middle of flowering. To enhance it with other goodies you can mix in some molasses with it. If you mix up a gallon and have the molasses in it, it will be shelf stable so you can use it later. If no molasses use some sugar for stability. Molasses has calcium etc in it that sugar doesn't. But the good bacteria will need a food source. :green_heart::peace:
 
lactobacillus serum... protozoa are tougher than worm larvae... I spray my outdoor plants all the time and it even stops the dreaded tomato worm.

Ok my serum is 4 days with the milk. Nice curd on top.
Everything I read said the lactobacillus isn't going to kill these because they are immune to it and/or these particular caterpillar gave a distinct system.
The Bt is on now.
When should I finish my lactobacillus serum? And when to spray it on?

There's a guy you should check out @Blew Hiller , he has an outside grow in your part of the world. Super nice dude and I have a feeling you'll like each other.

As far as the salmon oil, thanks for the recipe. I may give it a try.
After posting that question another thought came into my brain.
The cat might eat a hole in my tent trying to get to the salmon oil smell. Whatcha think about that?

I hadn't thought of the cat trying to go after it. Lol. The fish fertilizer I am making will be fairly odorless.
Sorry the Teddy came after you for that. If I recall I played along with the the thread too. I think that it can be a fine line of joke and harm. I personally go for the joke. Thank goodness I have never had anyone ever try to harm me like that. So I go for the joke.
