My friend, jus a quick question, hempy wise , obviously when feeding so regularly the 50 mm 2 " res won't stagnate , should you try to always clear the bottom 50 mm every time which makes sense and with the hole above res does a good feed flush old res nutes and is 10 -15% drain off enough to clear it thoroughly ?
Would a air curtain in res be worth trying or jus over thinking again.

I feed to 10% run off. It helps prevent build up of salts, and is enough to flush out the old nutrients and less oxygenated water.
And there is no need to add anything to the res hempy does great as is.

Fully understood, will be ordering 100 lt of perlite and coco which I'm using anyway but that closes the how to chapter , next common sense and vigilance.

jinn - out of curiostity last night, I captured the run-off from the bucket and tested the pH. Turns out pH in = pH out. This may be obvious to some, but I found it to be mildly interesting. Unfortunately, my ppm meter needs to be disassembled and repaired, so I couldn't see what the plants were doing with the nutes.

occasionally you'll see a small difference, as in my case the ph of my run off was considerably higher than my input, which instructed me to do a proper flush of my medium, because the salts and concentrated feed were making things wonky!
Most hempy growers don't check their run off, because as you say ph in is ph out, but if you girls are acting up its a good place to start troubleshooting!
