Well it might just need a lil longer, the plants are growing and doing just fine, nice n healthy.

Last time they definitely had roots growing off the cube a good inch or two. Before I put them in netpot because i put them in the aero cloner first and roots exploded.

This time it just had little roots that were only just popping out from the rockwool. So I guess it might just need more time.

Right now yeah the bottom of the netpot is submerged in a bit of water, plenty of air.

The medium is a mix of perlite (mostly in bottom), then some smaller smooth pebbles and some medium sized lava rocks.

I am about to roll out and pick up free nutes from starbucks :).

Apparently they got free coffee grounds. Now I just gotta find free chicken poopies and free bat poopies and I am golden. Get my kelp from the beach and its all free all G.

man, i am loving this shit. I just realized that you can basically get 100% of your nutes completely free from various places.

Like go to ocean for kelp
Go to coffee stores for coffee grounds
go to rock in utah for azomite... ok maybe that ones iffy
have fish pond for fish shit
get ducks or chickens for manure (or find a farm and offer to clean their pen to keep the shit)
batcave for guano (look out for rabies)
could pick worms (or just go buy some...)
ohhhh lots of good stuff from a organic restaurant or health food store trash. Hells ya!

I do smell like fucking coffee now though haha. I spread at least 4 pounds of it throughout the garden and put a good pound in the compost pile along with some worms.

I wouldn't want to use batshit from a cave or be around it. I'd rather it be sterlized. If I recall correctly, you can get all sorts of diseases from bat shit.

My recent clones took a good 10-14 days to fully have roots coming out the bottoms, but I used bigger starter squares. 100% coco.

I think the only way to get it in less than 10 days is with a cloner, like diy ezcloner. I have one built but never used it yet. I am waiting to have more space in my new home, which I get in soon. Yay. A whole upstairs huge room and patio to grow.

bonemeal and bat guano and rock phosphate are really the only sources for high amounts of phosphorous you can find.

ive been using mostly the bat g because the fox farms bat g is infused with mychoriza as well, which means i dont need a separate source for it.

i got 2 aero cloners, never had a single thing root in them ever.

I did put some already rooted clones in them for a few days once however and the roots were literally exploding by the minute. But never been able to make something actually root in one or in a dwc cloner.

Soon imma just try putting cuttings in root hormone and b-1 to see if that works lol...

That's awesome! Sometimes I think it would be fun to mix nutes, but I already don't have enough time. People like GH and BPN are already making great nutes and know a hell of a lot more than I do! I am still intrigued by the idea though. Maybe I'll educate myself about all this with my outdoor garden. Built compost bins last fall, so hoping to have some nice soil by the end of this season.

Neither of them worked? That's so weird. I just built mine and my first batch is looking like I'll get 100%, or damn close.
