Jgrowlove's 50 Fire Strain Hunt: 1000W HPS

Thanks Jgrow! I'm on a tight timeline, travelling for the holidays with no one to tend to my plants, so I want them overdried before I get on the road. Getting them down in 2 weeks would give me time for the lo & slo. The DOG might get there. It's not going to happen for the Gorilla Glue though. When I grew it before, I could have taken it at 8 weeks on the nose, and it still would have been awesome. I did 8.5 last time. This looks to me like 9 minimum which is surprising.

I'm excited to try the Black DOG, wish I could have kept a clone myself but I decided not to run my tents while away.
 
Wow dobewan whatever your doing keep doing it that glue looks amazing also! You have trained them for maximum yield it looks.

Hey lazyfish no I didn't keep a clone of it since I couldn't keep all of my plants and Royal Gorilla and Platinum Scout V2 won out because of yield and dankness. Just ordered more Royal Gorilla, HSO Chemdog, Barney's Farm Liberty Haze, Ripper Seeds Sour Ripper from Seedsman and got some interesting freebies including Dying Breeds Zkittlez. Cant wait to grow the Chemdog and Liberty haze again they were in my top 5 or so strains I've grown. Have been hearing great things about Zkittlez also!
 
That’s quite an order! I reordered Royal Gorilla too and still have Chemdawg and Liberty Haze seeds left. Going to run all 3 again eventually.

My Liberty Haze turned out really nice too, but I couldn’t trim properly when the Chem was done and ending up curing a bunch of the bud untrimmed. I’m using up what I trimmed first so I’m just pushing the issue into the future - and I’ll probably end up just making it into extracts in the end. That’ll probably be the first one I rerun to do it properly.
 
Was over at Sweetsue's Hempy Haven journal looking up the flowering dates for the mothers of my plants and was just amazed at how gorgeous her plants and photography was! Got the clones of her Devil's Carnival, Royal Gorilla, Zamaldelica x Panama, and another Platinum Scout V2 going into flower in the next week!! :cool:

Hey Jgrow! Quick question for you. Do you remember the Black DOG trichomes being strange? The plant looks done, but the trichs aren't going amber. I basically cannot find a glassy OR an amber trich on the thing, even on leaves. It looks 100% cloudy. Do you remember yours behaving like that at all?

In any case it otherwise looks ready, so I'm going to chop on the weekend.

Dobi, you should be me with my 120+ day sativa. There's barely if at all any cloudy. Flowers are 110 days old with a FULL (adult girls) VEG room @ waist high.

Chop or not chop? Meh, can go another day.

Time to get the loppers out.

Oh Jay - take a few clones of that Platinum Scout V2 for Sue if you can.

We work on logistics later.
 
Hey dobewan feel free to post pics of her if you'd like I don't remember checking the trichs on the Black D.O.G but I do remember it taking longer than the others to finish. Beautiful colors and more yield came after week 9 in flower. Thanks for the input Lazyfish! Will take several more to make sure Bobrown! Anything for Sweetsue!
 
Thanks Jgrow and Lazyfish. Mines definitely looking ready to come down and while I’d love to go 65+ I’m just super pressed for time before going away for an extended period. Sucks too because the other plant, the GG4, definitely needs to go longer. I’m considering leaving the harvest until right before I leave, and leaving the trimmed bud in my fridge unattended to dry for the 10 days I’m away.
 
I've been thinking about it a fair bit today Jgrow, I definitely value the input you and Lazyfish gave. I'm going to take a little risk in drying, and leave the buds in the fridge while I'm away. I should be able to get to around 65 days before chop doing it that way. It definitely looks like there's room for it to swell and get darker.

This is the photo I posted for you last time, same cola, it's cool to compare. The last week and a half has been good to it. It's definitely a pretty plant - love the frost and colours.

hey j I do all mine in the refer I hang it for two days let gravity kind of pull everything down then I snip the buds from the branch and into the fridge for 1or2 weeks I love it never had any problem with mold or anything like that it smokes smoother good luck growing!:)
 
Awesome info ilikemsticky! Might have to try that method if I'm pressed for time. I've got my Zamaldelica x Panama a couple days into flower. Anyone think I should remove more leaves? I have been taking about a dozen off or so a week for the past couple of weeks! It won't be as crowded when the Platinum Scout V2 and Royal Cookies finishing up soon.
