Jay233 Perpetual Grow - Photos - Autos in Coco

Well, don't fall asleep at work at wind up falling to the ground!

Looks awesome, love the details you give as usual. That tent looks monstrous to those little kids right now.

I am really interested in how the THC Bomb Auto does. I love growing the photo plant.

Have a great day and be careful up there....out there...wherever there is for ya.

Well I know this journal is closed but I have a few updates lol
Plants are coming along perfectly. Only seeds that didn't pop are the THC auto and the 2 Incredible Bulk. The others had all popped and we're planted and then had to leave for the weekend and temps got colder than expected. I think that was the problem.
I germenated plenty tho and they are are coming along nicely.
Also this week I build a small COB light with 2 3590 cree cob's running off a meanwell 185 ballest. They are 5000k. I put a dimmer in and can dim down to 10%. It will be used,as supplemental lighting and for propagation.
I throw some pics up soon

Like that tent. I have 2 gorilla tents. 1 a 2x4 and the other a 4x4. I don't need the stealth but I love the control that a tent offers.

Ok couple pics of the cob build. It's my first one so it's tiny lol.
I got 8 feet of 3/4" angle aluminum and 4 feet of 3/4" aluminum flat stock at the hardware store. I have 2 cob's on now but can add one or two more to the ballest.
I will be building another 5 cob light soon. I really like these and so do the plants. The veg tent is now fully lit with led and what a difference from HID. Low heat and in veg at least a very noticeable difference over MH in growth rate and plant health. I'm sold so far.
I like the COB leds and really like that I can dim them. The one I just built is in 5000k and will strictly used in veg obviously. Instead of making one big light to fit a tent space my plan is to make a few in different shapes and sizes to fit my needs which often changes. The light I just built will be perfect for clones and seedling and since I can dim it way down it will allow be to give them light gradually and allow them time to adjust. First thing I noticed with the cob's is the seedling stretch stopped the second it put it in and growth continued to be more rapid over Metal Halide.
The free is not 100 % done. The cob's aren't screwed to the frame yet. I have to get some small bolts this weekend but they can't go anywhere but slide side to side a little, so it's fine for now.

I transplanted the larger plant and one of the Mawi Pie seedlings last night. The larger plant went from a 2 gal to a 5 gal and the Mawi Pie seedling went from a solo cup to a two gal. I used Great White Shark on both transplants. The coco was buffered with cal/mag and Advanced Nutrients grow (coco).
I did the transplant at about 11 pm and and when I checked on them at 5 am I was stunned by the explosive growth.
I took a couple pics...I think....lemme check lol

Jay, do you have an exact model number of those Cree's? I've been searching a bit, and having a tough time finding what I'm looking for.
Is it the CXB or CXA?

Thanks for the pics of the build and the info on the frame. :thumb:

Looking mighty fine in there.

Ok I've got some details narrowed down...I think lol. I'll be going with a mini-split in the sealed flower room that also has a heat pump so I can cool efficiently and heat (if needed) on cool mornings. I'm going to start building the room next weekend. The plan for now is to dial in the enviornment on the "flower room" and run 18-6 lighting. This will flower the autos while the photo will have plenty of veg time to get huge. 10 gal pots is what I'm thinking for the photos. In the meantime I will be taking clones off the photos and selecting two mothers for when the veg room is done. The flower room will require roughly a $2600 investment and doing things this way will buy me a few weeks before I have to invest in the veg room (another $2000) and then it will be completed. The entire grow room will require two mini-split ac's with heat pumps, two co2 tanks and regulators and two environmental controlers. Thanks goodness I already have all the fans, nutrients, equipment and most of the lighting or this could be a little overwhelming lol.
I'll get some updated pics of the plants tonight. I'm pretty sure I will be transplanting 9 plants to larger pots tonight.
