Jay233 Grows With New 675W Perfect Sun COB LED In Coco

Thank you Tom. I think in a 4x8 two PS COB lights would be perfect. One PS COB per 4x4 space.
Even though my flower room is 4x7 I only have 4x5 feet of useable growing space. The additional 2 feet of width is filled with equipment (dehumidifier, carbon scrubber with 6 inch vortex fan and a Rubbermaid bin that I store my nutrients and tools in).
The PS COB looks to me to cover 4 feet deep by up to 4.5 feet wide perfectly. I do have a Bubblegum auto outside of of the 4.5 foot footprint and it is doing just fine but that is because I am allowing it to stretch upward well above the canopy of the other plants allowing it to be closer to the light so it still is able to get the lumens it needs.
I am getting excellent coverage with 4x5 but anymore than 5 feet wide and additional lighting
Thanks Jay, i remember you saying now that you was only using a 4×5 area in your space, i bet two would rock a 4×8 forsure, im loving the performance of the light.✌

Yes 2 PS COB lights would be awesome.
I have the room to expand my rooms if needed but I've got it dialed so I'm going to run one or two more before I start "remodeling" lol. But two PS COB lights in a 4x8 with some cross over and only pulling 1350 watts max would be the sh*t .

Today's update
Started adding Advanced Nutrients Big Bud coco @ 1 ml per gal. Total ppm of nutrient solution is 500. I will continue to use Big Bud in addition to AN bloom coco A&B for the next 2-3 weeks.

Your canopy management is so on point Jay.
Thank you Shiggity. .
As you know, it's a fair amount of daily consistent work throughout veg but it pays off at harvest.
Ive got to get caught up and see what you've been up to lately. I'll have some free time later today to relax and I think I'll use it doing just that.
I think I remember you growing a Flying Dutchman strain, twister I think? How did you you like the genitics?

The twister is a 20 year clone strain for me. I have loved her enough to grow her for that long! I don't even know how many generations of clones that is. She still clones fine just a bit slower than 10 years ago lmao.

I have a new experiments journal up now. SIPs, diy LED, lots of cool stuff like water cooled propane Co2 generators coming up. And lighting controllers.
Awesome I'll be checking that out later today
Very cool .

I never get tired of looking at that canopy

and i think... some day
Thank Crash! Its super easy. 1 topping at the 4th node but waited till it got to the 6th. At the same time I removed the 1st and second nodes. The more vitality the plant has when topped the faster the recovery and response.
Then I only used 4 wires per plant to lst the 4 main branches.
Each day I lightly held down the tallest branches until they stayed where I wanted them (no wires).
The rest of the training was acquired through selective defol.
I use defol slow more rapidly growing branches and also to speed up the vertical growth of other branches that may be lagging.
This training is simple and very low stress but requires at least daily attention. If growing in coco and manually feeding daily (what I do) its just an extra step after watering.
The "push down" training lessens stress, I believe, over traditional lst because I feel the pressure from all the wires overall affects the vascular system slightly. Not much but if 20+ wires are used I feel it has an effect. Every little bit counts.
The 4 wires per plant are needed to keep them growing dead horizontal.
Hope that helps any looking for a symmetrical even canopy with low stress.

Update coming later when the sun comes up .
