Ha ha...it's funny you mentioned that...I noticed it looked like a face too LOL...it's a temperature sensor for my thermometer on the outside of the tent...it allows me to adjust my exhaust fan speed (also outside the tent)to regulate temps without opening the tent...i have it hanging from a string so I can adjust it as the plants grow and get an accurate temp reading at the plant tops...the sensor itself is totally smooth so I had to attach the string to the wall mount the sensor came with...the face is the wall mount
