Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flowerbox - 41 Week Perpetual SOG Part2

Re: Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flowerbox - 41 Week Perpetual SOG Part2 - Blue Planet Nutri

I run it lower since I start everything out with it and I'm not trying to fix anything. If I was trying to get rid of rot I'd run it hotter for sure.

Please please could you explain why you run temps hotter than normal if dealing with root rot please? ? thanks Jandre

a minor miss understanding of terminology there mark.
'hotter' didnt mean anything to do with room temps but rather the concentration of the cleaning compund under discussion...

we often refer to chemicals in water 'burning' our plants so it just part of our dialogue ;)

If I could manage to grow something that looked half as good as those, I'd feel like I was the king of the world.. I can't image how proud you must be, being the parent to such beautiful and successful children!!!!

Absolutely amazing.

Actually, on my good days, I would absolutely love to have a LOT larger grow than I have. Taking over 3 12x12's and a mothering ROOM?? Hells yes!

Thius is the one that really gets me about the jandre Kush... The length of those triches! Damn....

The pistils are about 1.25 to 1.5 inches long, so that gives you an idea of how frikkin long the triches are getting... And that on the UNDERSIDE of the fan leaf spikes.

Stuffs nose directly into the computer :yummy:

Actually things have been getting much better. In the new grow room not ONE issue (except for the high RH) but that will be solved on the 17th when my new ebay 50 pint dehumidifier arrives :thumb:

Re: Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flowerbox - 41 Week Perpetual SOG Part2 - Blue Planet Nutri

ooh that reminds me.
i saw something in my local diy shop yesterday when i went for perlite.

it was like a silica gel pouch, but it was the size of a bag of frozen peas and 'lasted for 6 months'...only thing that put me off was that it was scented..

well that and im always wary of items in shops with no apparent price tag ;)

gonna look online tho for the same kinda thing.

also, i have a wallpaper steamer somewhere...think that might be a really good way to add water to a room.

Hey Jandre - just poppin' by to see how you're doing/feeling. Sure hope that you are feeling well and headache free. I get a lot of headaches these days too, and they can sure get a person down. Have a great weekend my friend!

Hello, my good friend! Thanks for stopping in. Yeah, got a cluster headache yesterday that triggered a migraine. I was coughing because I have the beginnings of a cold, and BAM!! It felt like someone hit me in the head with a lead pipe. A few minutes later the initial pain went away and that made me acutely aware that I needed to go pray to the porcelain gods. As I didn't want to redecorate the living room, I ran for it, slipped on some water my daughter so thoughtfully left for me on the floor, and almost broke a toe on the tub... So there I am, head swimming, toe screaming, head throbbing, breakfast threatening to make a second showing, and she comes in. "Are you feeling better, dad-ad?"

Now I'm not really one that likes to confront her when I'm in pain, so I just looked at her, with tears in my eyes. She patted me on the shoulder and told me, "Take three deep breaths, you'll be okay." Then she left, and came back with some ice for my head, and a wet cloth for my neck... Must have asked her mother for help with those, but still...

Four and a half years old... *sigh*

EDIT:Cluster headache is a condition that involves, as its most prominent feature, an immense degree of pain that is almost always on only one side of the head. Some doctors and scientists have described the pain resulting from cluster headaches as the most intense pain a human can endure - worse than burns, broken bones or child birth.

Dr. Peter Goadsby, Professor of Clinical Neurology at University College London (now at University of California, San Francisco), a leading researcher on the condition has commented:

"Cluster headache is probably the worst pain that humans experience. I know that’s quite a strong remark to make, but if you ask a cluster headache patient if they’ve had a worse experience, they’ll universally say they haven't. Women with cluster headache will tell you that an attack is worse than giving birth. So you can imagine that these people give birth without anesthetic [several] times a day. Many cluster headache sufferers have committed suicide, leading to the nickname "suicide headaches" for cluster headaches. Cluster headaches often occur periodically: spontaneous remissions interrupt active periods of pain, though there are about 20% of suffers whose cluster headaches never remit. The cause of the condition is currently unknown. It affects approximately 0.1% of the population, and men are more commonly affected than women."[1]
