Welcome to my first grow, please feel free to offer to advice or suggestions.

I didn’t get the clones but I picked up a mixed bag of 10 seeds.(White Widow and AK-47) I just put all 10 in a shot glass of water PH at 6.0

I have set up a cloning system so when I go back to my buddy’s I can cut a few. (Tired of waiting for my seeds to arrive)

I used a 25% mixture of B-52 and Cal-Mag xtra in my clone bin (Advanced Nutrients)

My set up is a 4x4x7 tent, 2 TS1000 lights, vivosun 4” carbon filter exhaust kit, and 2 6” circulation fans.

I’ll be growing in Botanicare coco(70-30 coco perlite mix) with Advanced Nutrients sensi coco ph perfect nutes.

Told you I'd be first here lol :)
Looks good to go mate. Bet your buzzin eh :)
Thanks Barney I’m glad your here, I’m looking forward to getting some green going. Wish I’d gotten the clones but complimentary seeds work also. I’m ready to go

I've got some AK-47 on just now too. Awesome growing strain and real easy to look after. How many of them are you planning to grow?

I would only like to grow 4-5 plants, but these seeds aren’t fems so I figured I would pop them all and see where it goes. I may use the cloner to determine sex earlier then waiting until the flower cycle

Ahh yeah , they generally tend to be pretty 50/50 so you should get at least 4 females mate. Never had to check for sex so wouldn't know the best way to go about it to be honest. I'm pretty useful for most other things hydro related though lol.

I know you can clone them and put them in flower as soon as they get roots and toss them after you determine gender. I do know that much lol although I’m set set to run perpetually so I haven’t figured out how I’m going to do that yet lol

I’ll definitely be picking your brain for some hydro knowledge though

I had a 70% germination rate, I placed the the seeds tap root down into solo cups last night. I lightly watered with 2 pipets of 6.0 ph water apiece. Then covered the cups with plastic wrap.

Now I wait some more...

I have 4 seeds that have sprouted their cotylons(maybe?) and another one that’s not looking to strong. I’m still giving the other 2 a little time before I toss them I watered them using a shot glass got some run off so I’ll stick to my spray bottle. Really need to get a germination tray and dome struggling to keep humidity up.

I’m sitting at 5 seedlings total, I removed the weak one and 4 never sprouted.

They are looking good getting a light spray 2-3 times a day then back under the baggies. Still struggling to keep humidity up but they don’t seem to be effected much by that.

Now I keep waiting

Happy days, we have lift off :)
Don't have to obsess over the humidity mate. The need to have it high relates to something called VPD- vapour pressure deficit.
Basically the plant and it's environment are one connected system . Can't really thing how to explain it quickly but Google will sort you out.
It's not the end of the world if you can't keep it high in veg. Just means they wont grow as fast. Nothin life threatening though. It's when you can't keep it low in bloom that's dangerous.

Go Google for VPD scale in cannabis though mate and that will explain everything for you :)

As your plants get bigger they will put off more humidity. Like Barney said, don’t stress over it unless your having a hard time keeping it down in flower.

I’m in and will follow along:thumb:

Cool that’s noted, at what point do start counting my Veg time? I’m wanting to veg 3-4 weeks and then flip to flower so I can get my purchased seeds rolling. I’m looking forward to some Skywalker OG going through the grinder :ganjamon:

Welcome to 420Magazine's Forum. Good looking start to your first grow. I wish I would have been that prepared before I started.

Also, side note. That's a beast of a fish in your DP.

Thanks man first one of the year and biggest so far

3-4 weeks isn’t very long, they won’t be all that big, it’s probably do able, but they won’t be all that big. If you have those flipped do you have a separate location to isolate another light separated from the 12/12 light schedule?

You’re right the 4 week veg I was reading about was for a SOG setup, I’m planning to add another 4x4 tent for veg/autos/mother’s after I get this run under my belt

Yeah you might want to keep those seeds properly stored and just feel out these plants. Get your self set up better for a second grow! :yahoo:

I found you, Mr. Bong. Looking forward to learning along with you, my friend. It's nice that you have a source for clones and seeds in Kentucky (I did read somewhere that you're from KY, right?) Unfortunately, I know too many smokers and not enough growers. Anyway, I'm all subbed up. It's a great feeling when you see green above soil for the first time, isn't it?
