If you know the ph is in the zone you can look at other things. If you don't know it then there's no real base to go from. That's how I look at it. Removing the variables if problems aren't obvious make it a little easier. PH is king.

Do you think that water test is in the ballpark? Seems like a ph test is a ph test. Still going to bust out and calibrate the ph pen but, I am a bit worried I have been feeding my plants water with a ph over 7.5When i sold my SW Reef i sold all those kits too. You got me think bout soil again and im trying out coco... Keep Cruisin

That sounds like a plan. The soil tests at a good ph range but I think the potential high ph water may be making the grow harder than it needs to be. If it’s that high. My Skunk1 seems sensitive.I would calibrate and run the two next to each other. You can do the Master Test Kit 2 or 3 times to get a good average, maybe more..? Then run your calibrated Ph pen 2 or three times and then compare the results. Then you'll know how often to calibrate pen or at the very least you can check every once in a while.
I stopped Ph'ing my water for soil a while ago, but will need to get back into cuz I got my new auto in coco.
Nice scrog, how large are your squares? 2"?
I can’t lol, I took a few huge wake n bake bong rips and won’t be driving anywhere anytime soon...Grab some for me, i out too...
Indeed. I know that after 2 years of growing, I still get my ass kicked constantly.‘Knowing is half the battle.’ ~ GI Joe
Im sure one you get the PH dolialed you’ll be good. Check ur run off too. I used that as a measure of when ro do light feedings.
Yeah pretty much. Maybe the odd aerated compost tea. But there are no holes or ways for water to escape out the bottom. It’s a big black storage bin.closed system? Cause of the compost you only give water?
I did the soil test, it’s at about 6.5 to 6.8. I have been adding the odd weird thing, maybe stressing her out, so getting my water ph dialed in will help get things back to where they should be. Soil organisms doing their job instead of regulating the phIf its a closed system then u should b able to dial in the ph. What am i missing? Maybe a soil ph ykit test?
