Is This Your Homework Larry? Seedsman Skunk #1 In Soil

To be honest I just dumped the curds out on the ground outside ...I should have ate them or "fried" them like some do but I wasnt feeling it haha...if its stabilized or unstabilized it will work the same, just diluted a bit with the one.

I use it for everything! Maybe not so much as a foliar but definitely as a soil drench and compost accelerator!!!! It eats organic matter like no other...it can even be used to unclog drains, eating through the stuff like it was nothing!

If you happened to have a dead animal or something else absolutely awful smelling on the front porch one morning, you could mix the lacto at around 1-2 tbsp a gallon and spray that solution over whatever may be causing the smell, and 5 minutes later....you wouldnt know the difference! Its absolutely a good thing to have on hand

They say to dilute your final solution into something like 1,000% the total volume but I didnt even worry about it....I left it full strength. I still use it at recommended dosages and have never had a problem! I actually dont even measure it lol, I just pour what I think is a tbsp+ into a gallon or 2 and call it good...precision becomes a lost cause in organics usually! :passitleft:

Edit: I should also add, that the brown sugar will contain sugars (may be a more correct term) for your micro herd...but in all honesty, I have adapted Docs method of letting the herd use up the rocks as opposed to supplementing sugars! Ive seen either way work splendidly so the choice is all yours
Awesome information. Thanks for that. Do you add any to an ACT or other teas? Or is this one you do all by itself? I might just alternate, lab feed, aloe feed, lab feed, coconut water feed, repeat until flip.

I actually dont follow a schedule....but I try and add aloe to at least every other watering along with silica! LABs is maybe every third watering, more so during flower...not sure what my reasoning is behind that lol. I also use fulvic acid with every 2-3 waterings. Coconut powder is used about 2-3 times during each complete cycle! I feel the LABs mixed with brown sugar, and the banana fermented fruit juice I use contains every bit of sugar/potassium/etc. necessary! So I go easy on coconut. BUT, for the most part, all those ingredients I listed are very hard to overdo....the amount can be overdone, but its rather hard to overdo on the frequency of those inputs if that makes sense!

I also dont brew real "teas". I might mix up a ~tbsp of kelp into a gallon jug and shake that up whenever I think about it for about 24rs, then strain and water with that but no brewing of any sorts. I also use an organic botanical tincture that could maybe qualify as a tea, but its just a mix and go kind of thing! I feel its my "secret weapon"....its some killer stuff :thumb:

Edit: Haha, I hope that answered your main question....my point being that a person can add aloe, fulvic, silica, FFJ, and LABs if your "routine" calls for it. But sometimes its just LABs, or anywhere in between. Very forgiving this method is :battingeyelashes:

Awesome that’s kinda my style. No actual routine. Just go by feel. Sounds good.

Hi @UrbanAchiever, I had just read a post over in the pastime forum, about fav stoner movies, and of course Lebowski is the best ever. Then I saw your thread title so just had to come and see. Looking good!
:goodjob:
I’m growing a pack of skunks in soil also so it’s fun to watch your grow. I have a bunch of seeds from breeding them over the summer. They all sprouted up like that too, with a tendency to get leggy early.

Best of luck!

lol yeah you can’t beat TBL for hilarity and quotability. Love that show. I will have thread titles for years lol.

I think I may have browsed your journal but I will pop over and make sure. Skunk #1 is the backbone to so many great strains today. Hell anything with Acapulco Gold in it, is alright with me.

I probably could have waited a few more days to deal with the seedlings height. Would have been better for the roots. Oh well.

Another watering or two and we may be ready for transplant. Temperatures 83 with RH sitting between 50 and 60% with the humidifier on low. Burns about half a tank of water per cycle, so two days of humidity. Not bad. My RH is normally 40 so I won’t need the humidifier for flowering.

Not too far off from topping the big skunk. Then the training will begin. We need to fill the net.

All the plants were ready for another watering. I put about 10ml of aloe vera juice into the 1.5 litres of water. Pretty light but it’s a new product (store bought versus home blended). Not sure how much they should be getting of that product.

Took the small water can and slow watered everyone with the aloe kissed water. Temps 79 and RH 53%.

The next major step in making lacto bacillus, putting the inoculate into the milk. Few days and it should be pretty smelly. The sooner it’s done the better.

Here is the tincture. Not sure why I took a photo since it’s all the same. Day 21. Another week and it will be drained.

Here is a shot of my storage. It’s a cave of wonders with all sorts of goodies tucked away. Cannabis, scotch, sake, tequila, and all the goodies needed for consumption.

I love your cave of wonders, good for you. Nicely presented, every shelf is top shelf.
:thumb:

What’s the bacillus for? I’ve been curious about aloe t9, to use similarly to kelp. Does it have similar advantages?

Yeah I don’t often partake in drinking but I have the good stuff when I do.

The bacillus is supposed to do a few positive things. Improves uptake of nutrients, helps breakdown organic nutrients into inorganic nutrients for the plants, and will help break down my compost. I think yeah the aloe is similar to kelp with the growth regulators.

It’s going to smell a bit. Maybe this will help. Put a rubber glove on top with a zip tie.

Edit: I checked on the NL5 x Haze x Mist seed, and it has cracked, I will leave it overnight and then plant it into a tiny pot.

I’m here to hang pal:) I’ll be around lurking and catching up
:passitleft:
Fantastic, lurk away, you only really need to skim the pictures to catch up. We were missing a little bit of newty in here.
:high-five:

Nearing transplant and topping. Need to make some tops for the net.

The milk thing grosses me out!. It's very interesting to learn so thank you!

Yup the top self is very nice!

Lmao the milk thing kinda grosses me out a bit too but, the desire to grow quality cannabis is strong, we will make it happen. The molasses and LAB mix will be a good additive to both compost and plant. Im curious as to how well it can bring some balance to the soil organisms.

I had to move my cannabis jars to the basement. It was smelly. Mrs. Achiever insisted lol. I like the smell. She is not going to like it when the skunk starts to flower lol.

Going to go ahead and pull up a seat. Dont mind me...i'll bee rollin a fattie up over here in the back! Peace!

:rollit:
Hell yeah, welcome to the grow! I am just about to give an update. Glad to have you. I think I shall fire one up myself while we do this thang

Salutations to all you beautiful people.

My plants were talking to me. Yesterday.

“More room please”.

The bottom leaves we’re starting to shrug slightly and discolour. The big skunk was wanting more room badly. Sadly sleep and work were more important.

But today was yesterday and yesterday this was tomorrow.

The CKS Crown Royale and CB Dream are perfect for the transplant, their roots were strong and they aren’t showing signs of stress.. The small skunk has a surprisingly good root system but still not as big as the CKS. These are the big skunks roots I think.

I dug out two holes and liberally applied bio-gold mycos to the root ball and the hole.

Then I top dressed the bin. Dusted about 1/2 cup of rock dusts over the soil. Crumbled 4 or 5 big handfuls of horsetail fern over top because I have so much. Took a shot glass and gently sprinkled some kelp meal over top, not wanting to put too much just in case. You can see the discolouration on the big skunk.

I planted my couple early red clover with the cannabis. They are happy. Included in the top dress are a small handful of red clover seeds. We are getting this show firmly on the road.

Here is the final scene. Over that top dress I added some soil. The soil (50 to 70 litres) was “cut” with 20 litres of coco , and has been processing my veggie scraps for the last month or two, as well as had 10 or 15 litres of broken down cubical root rot, you can see chunks of it there. Just a few centimetres of soil to add some life and nutrients and provide a good start to the red clover. With any luck I will have a bed of clover in a few weeks lol. Looks like a nice little garden so far. I should try some of my wife’s herbs lol

So we have two 32 gallon bins, with two cannabis plants each, and some red clover. All organic goodness.

Then I slow watered the two bins. Estimated 2.5 litres each bin. Refilled my humidifier. It’s sitting at 63, between the humidifier and the freshly watered soil.

Super baked on the top cola of my stubby little Bubba 76.

Oh, the tiny pot with the tiny pot seed in it, is still in the game. That small skunk better get its shit together or we are gonna snap, it’s stem. The lacto bacillus isn’t smelling yet and isn’t quite in full breakdown mode yet. Some slight visual change though so it’s about to go down. Almost mid month, getting close to the real Christmas, smoking those cobs. Looking good there too. Way too small but that’s ok.

Alright folks, you take care of each other out there

No issues shown with the transplant so far. Forgot to mention I topped the big Skunk #1 when I made the transplant. Snapped this photo and noticed I still have a few chunks of the decaying wood in my soil mix. As anticipated though.

Check out my mini pot under a jar with the nl5 x haze x mist seed.

Cubical brown rot. I think the mix of chunks are a good thing. But they are also easily broken up into very fine pieces. The rot ate all the cellulose and lignin (I think). No structure to it. Not a lot left but it’s got some great characteristics. Light, porous, and structured. A good place for life to exist. Another aerator. Diversity.

But here is a few shots of me breaking down the wood. Squeezing it between my fingers and some light pressure. Next to a half J of the pepper Gift of Fire F2
