The idea is to just warm the air with that mat, so you would need two if there's also one under the seedlings-
Blowing the heat down from the light/driver should work just as well, or better- I just don't have room for a fan up there...

I'll try it over the light when I get home and see what increase in temps I can get. Thanks for the whole heat mat idea!

I also turn the exhaust way down during lights out, so it sucks the heat out a little slower...this will also raise the temp 4 or 5 degrees in there..

I actually have the exhaust off and the tent sealed at this point. As they get bigger I'll figure out when to get the exhaust (intake) fan going. I use positive pressure from the top to suck warmer air in and push it out the bottom flaps.

I had to read back to see what I missed, and I can't find it! If you have a heat mat, why can't you use it under? Add a towel to soften the heat it needed?

For a single cup it's helpful to stand it on end and make a circle out of it for a makeshift sauna though.

I don't recall TWa finishing fast? I suppose training will slow things down, but that much veg for the PC? Is your tent big enough to flower her after that?

My TWa came in at 94 days but I believe is supposed to be shorter than that. I think I've asked Justin what he's found but I can't recall what he said now.

As I sit here and Medicate... I realized i probably should have asked how long TWa flowers, and ask the size of your tent, instead of typing all that!

The tent is 2x4x6 and I've never vegged a photoperiod plant in there before. I was planning on topping and training like I do outside, but possibly not giving it as much light as the auto will get. Maybe some window screen to cut the lux on that side of the Mars bar.

If you want assistance in slowing down veg growth, I have suggestions.

You could wrap the cup with a towel, or cut a hole in one of your boxes to hold cup, on the mat?

I stalled my girls that I started last February by low light coupled with 25% nutes. You can also slow things down by pinching just below the Tops, Defoliation, and you already plan on topping.

"Just had some TWa through a clean bong and it's very heady and happy. Lightest I've felt in a week!"

It's going to be one for the tent this winter, and maybe I'll drop two.

With the light at 100w, the tent has been mid 70s overnight and and high 70s during the day, so I haven't tried the heat mat with a lower wattage yet. Still might to save on the electric bill.

True, so I'd be keeping the high lux on The Wizard side and shading the Pellezino Cookies side when the time comes. It will be clearer when I show how I do it.

So far it's been blue skies and cool and sunny this fall, but the nights are definitely getting colder. I'm ready for rain though and hope we get enough.

That said, if we're building snowmen in Los Angeles it's time for me to move further south!

No, I still have a nice supply of dried mushrooms . But I’m getting a little bored with not growing anything. I might start something new next year. And the cold is out of my control so I try not to go outside and not think about it. CL.
