InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Thanks mV! Isn't there some theory that boys show first? Might be literally bro-science though :).

I honestly couldn't tell you. I know where to look, and what to look for, but I don't mess with males. Not because I couldn't, but I'm lazy and stingy with resources that way.

All I really can tell right now is there isn't much to look at. Stipules, but nothing really going on beside them. If the whole male first is a thing (and I can't say one way or the other), and the PSK2 is actually just starting to show and is male, then maybe that bodes well for the other. I don't know, but really it's still too early to tell much.

So funny!

Really there’s nothing much definitive. I know almost exactly how you feel!

I’ve been seeing it as
Kush 1: probably M
Kush 2: promising signs for F

GT 1: F
GT 2: M

Really no deep reasons for those. Just my take and I’m being bold with it to see how close I get!

My question is why chose Regular seeds over Femd seeds ? Are they better ? I know if you are breeding plants you want some males but if your not breeding why chose regular seeds ?

Take a look at the very first pic of PSK1. It's blurry' but it appears to have a pistil sticking out of the calyx on the right.

I really hope I am wrong.
Me too!

All votes are created equal and there are no wrong answers :). It sure does look like I'm transplanting and bread making this weekend!

Good question PCa! I don't buy regular seeds, but most of my seed collection comes from pollen-slingers who make their own crosses, and those are the regs.

I noticed that in the pic when I uploaded it, but good luck on going back to find it to make sure! But if I do, that's one less plant to upcan :).

BTdubs, this is what BL was talking about on the PSK1:

Could be anything because it's so out of focus, which it shouldn't be if it's coming out of that green thingy rather than in the background.

I saw this, and thought the same thing at first. Looks to far away from the stipule to me, so I chalked it up to a baby growth tip.

I don’t see it :hmmmm: ... I mean, I see it but

This...

I read that shape as the stipule on the other side of the stem. Just a happy coincidence of alignment that it happens to look like it’s coming out of there :)

PSK2 and GT2 are most likely boys. PSK1 and GT1 are most likely girls. IMHO

When you see crossed swords (stipules) I often see them mature into a female plant.

That one, the stipules grow towards the middle till about halfway up then change direction and go away from each other. I've never seen that before. That one might be a toss up.

So for those keeping score at home, this is how the voting breaks down:
PKS1: F, F, M, F = 75% F
PSK2: M, F, M, F, M = 60% M
GT1: M, F, F = 66.6% F
GT2: M, M, M = 100% M

There seems to be consensus on GT2 though. Does beez's stipule ID method sway anyone on the others?

What if I take my chances and at least skip the upcan on that one? I won't toss it until I get a true sign from either though.
