InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Well I’ll be - yep it is. Most common in Adelaide apparently. I take no responsibility for such a gross concept. My apologies to the English! Damn convicts! ;)
So now you have pie floaters and vegemite to take ownership of!

Since the AK will be moving out of from the nighttime Oval of Brightness® on Saturday, there will be room for this:

Auto Masszar:

It's listed thusly:
• Breeder: Critical Mass
• Monster Mass x Mazar x Big Bud Auto
• Very strong Skunk layered with sweet hash and ripe citrus.
• Effects are extremely strong (19% THC) with a powerful body stone paired with strong euphoria followed by a pleasantly happy high.
• 65 to 70 day finishes from the start
• Outdoors, volume averages 80-150 gr/seed

It's soaking in a bowl of tap water and H2O2 mixed at no specific ratio, and after about an hour I'll put in a bowl of distilled water, stick it in the cheez-its box, and leave it on the heat mat (not directly...I don't want to cook it!). Let's see how it goes :).

Night all!

Drop it like it's hot.... grow it like it's pot! Night night shed

On the nute topic in my earlier post...I was reading DobeWan's post in MadDab's thread:
All Aboard - Dabber Blooms Buds In The Tub Of Love
and thought I'd see what would happen if I converted my nutes to milliliters and multiplied them out. Here's what I got:
3 ml cal/mag+ = 12-0-0
14.79 ml Grow Big = 88.75-59.2-59.2
2.5 ml Armor Si = 0-0-10
Total that up and you get 100.75-59.2-69.2 or 2-1.2-1.3

It's not that far off the 2-1-1 ratio I read is good for veg.

Since I'll be flipping in a week, how long is the transition after flip to flower nutes only? I'll be ramping up the Tiger Bloom and lowering the Grow Big, but when is that change completed?

While we're back there, another point from AN I'd like to put out...I asked them why their bloom nutes had more N than their grow formula. John told me that it is a old misnomer (and I quote) "Plants needing less Nitrogen in flowering is a misnomer spread by the big dick swingers of the 70's that had no science to back it up." I think he's referring to Jorge and other nutrient companies. Nonetheless, here in the next week or so I'm going to look for data on this. So much conflicting info!

Great song! Tapped it this morning and it sunk. Air temp outside the bowl was 82º this morning so we'll see if there's any action when I get home from work.

I'll transition out of Grow Big over two weeks or so, because it will need more N during stretch.

Once I move off the Grow Big, the N will still be there between the 2-8-4 of the Tiger Bloom and the 2-0-0 of the cal/mag+. I'm looking around the 1-2-3 or 2-2-3 range for most of flower, but it will vary depending on when I cut the silica.

That is why I use a little bit of micro on their end stop grow micro only carries boy of iron and nitrogen mostly if not mistaken . So I’ll give that micro brings up ppm . I’m learning to use it as a week thing so say from seed 1.25 ml of each of the theee part series anyways . Then week two bring to say 1.5 ml grow and micro keep bloom there

Week three say 2 no grow 2 ml micro 1.25 ml bloom. And so fourth ?

Make any sense sometimes I swear I talk for the hell of it lol .

i think what he tries to say is that plants only need lots of PK and no N in flower is an urban myth
I think hey need some nitrogen in flowering just not as much your pull should be triple at least no over n ratio value ?

And we're always listening Joe! I'm going to keep the N down low after stretch, but can't be too low with the N in the cal/mag. Gonna be tough to get to triple though without a separate source for P, which I ain't got. If I have to back down the cal/mag because of the nitro I should be ok with the vinegar/eggshell juice. Since it won't be under the LED as much it may be okay.

Makes sense brotha

Yeah my cal mag by GH general hydroponics containable 1% nitro in it . So I need to consider what your putting in and when right ? Yeah cnat fondness a cheap p booster around bud? Something that isn’t high and carries only p? That is why I love overdrive over learned .

Hmmm may be a preference thing.... but idk I can't stand seeing waxy dark green fan leaves on a plant.

I am not saying. That plants don't need N in flower. (Which is true you don't "need" it). But using more in stretch will make a bigger plant able to produce more.... after that it's only needed in minimal ratios to P and K.

So I would say, they are both correct.

Now I'm not a hippie from the 70s nor a nutrient company employee, but that's what my research tells me. Chelates or not. Buffers or no. Incense and tie dye aside.

Too much nitrogen locks out potassium. A vital need for any plant in the finishing stages. Yes the nute companies what you to feed the same the entire veg and flower, but adding a little P K booster and knowing your ratios can grow next level trees. Not to mention almost every coco or led grower is adding cal mag. Upping the nitrogen even further. In the case of AN they are 4.0.0 for cal mag xtra.

Again not saying nitrogen isn't needed. But the plants sure as shit don't need that much!

Hippie! No actually, thanks Them :). When I look at my crazy NPK spreadsheet I can see that keeping the Grow Big all the way through flower as Fox Farms suggests is where almost all the N is coming from. Any K boost comes from Terpinator but if I want to up the P I would have to stick with the Open Sesame (which, interestingly, I do with my autos and don't use any Grow Big in flower!).

I'll be playing with these numbers for a while as flip isn't until Saturday, but I'll try not to get too far out of wack no matter how I blend. And always with an eye on keeping the nitrogen down after stretch.

:thanks:

So it’s safe to say boost nitro a bit in stretch bring up turn let it go slowly as stretch halts then like he said pk and micro n should be sufficient

Like I said, I have to research it more too. I'm still finding pieces of my brain on the floor from the first time I saw the outrageous (at least from the research I have already done) amount of N they are going to get from the AN formulas I have.
You got the CaMag right Dabbs @ 4-0-0, then you'll have the Bloom @4-3-6 , then Bud Candy@ 0-0-1, Big Bud@1-2-5, all the while giving Ancient Earth@0-0-1 in all stages. So there is still more P&K, but I have seen mostly nutes with 0, 1 or 2 in the N spot. You know how easily red-flags go up when you barely know what you are doing. Anyone can grow pot, few can grow medicine. This is one of those subjects that separates the men from the boys. Or the women from the girls and men if your Amy or Sue.
