InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Thanks for the clarification AW! I can't think of a reason that lengthening one day sent your DP into flower, but there is a very good reason that taking two hours of light away would do it: it thought that the days were getting shorter, which is all it takes.

It's a beauty!
I agree that may be all it was. Any idea if changing when the plant gets the lights off period matters?
Plants used to lights off at one time, then the day gets way longer and the plants get darkness at a different time. This doesn’t mess with them? It would mess with me hardcore lol :yahoo::rofl:

Actually, it's a hormone produced at night that causes the plant to bloom. :) When the nights get long enough, it triggers bloom. But it requires continuous hours of darkness. It flushes out very quickly in the morning when photosynthesis begins. So the GLR method works by destroying any buildup, with as little as a half hour of light during a night cycle.

Also, when plants are mature, they will trigger with shorter nights, and with declining daylight, so that could explain the blooming at only 8 hours of continuous darkness.

:Namaste:

Good info Gray :thumb: That would explain it perfectly. Strange the other plants didn’t flower but nature isn’t perfect I suppose. I’m not complaining one bit! Been a helluva ride :theband:

That bud right there is a thing of beauty!
I have some ayahuasca purple on order which is a red delta cross with master kush,,, I can only hope to have wonderfull colours like that.
Thanks man! It’s been a long road to get to where I’m proud of my plants and it’s finally happening! I have my family here at :420:to thank as I can’t imagine being surrounded by as many selfless people anywhere else.

Graytail for the win! Thank you for the science on that GT...I knew if I postulated for long enough someone with the actual knowledge would jump in! :thanks:

While congrats on the long road to success and beautiful plants , I’d say you’ve made it for sure. I’d be proud to share those pictures lol

I agree, although I’m new, to this community “forum” and don’t have a journal yet, I’ve been welcomed and accepted into the journals I’ve taken part in, just reading through them you really don’t see this kind of like you say selfless help given to random strangers out in the public modern society today.... this place has a lot of kind hearted people, who never seem to bash or say anything negative to other members in rude ways, I’m sure there’s constructive criticism and disagreements, but I’ve yet to seen any rudeness or outlandish comments in my time here.
Glad to have found a new place to hang out. I’ll spam a pic here as I don’t have a journal yet, this is only plant I have in flower atm and it’s a bag seed from a northern lights cross

re: 420 AK-47 & Gold Leaf - 1st Try With Clones - Soil - In/Out - Vegging Till Fall '18!

Sound stood bro. We're the stems cut at a 45 degree. That helps because it gives more surface area for roots to come out of. I think that's the only reason. Could be wrong. I've never heard of using honey. Aloe and kelp is a great root agent.
I've had nearly a 99% sucess rate by shaving the tip then dipping them in rooting hormone. Honey will cause either fungus or bacterial issues. Feeding honey to a baby is a no no. Clones are no different.
