InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Hope you are feeling better soon Shed. :ciao:

Monday morning all. Thanks to all of you for your kind words and thoughts, both here and PM. I'm trying to maintain a brave face and make changes where I can. Your support is truly appreciated. :Namaste:

Let's get to the Monday update, since I was AWOL all weekend.

Let me lead with the question of the day: Mg deficiency or leaf septoria? Or both?

This is on Candida CDNT on day 96. I gave them both about 3/4 gallon today and upped their MegaCrop to 5g/gallon per @farside05's recommendation in case it is a Mg deficiency.

And yesterday afternoon was mostly sunny so I got them everyone into the daylight for about 4 hours. Here are the big three (all of whom got watered yesterday):

Peyote Critical day 146, flip day 30

AK-47, flip day 30

Sour G, flip day 30

They're back out today but I'm going to try to convince my lovely assistant to put them back in the shed rather than in the tent. It's a bit more complicated, though closer!

I've got loads to catch up on, so my apologies if it takes me a while to get to all of what you did this weekend.
:peace:

No pressure there...lol

I'd figure at their age/size they'd be wanting 5mg or possibly even 6. It does kinda look like Mg.

Good to see you back Shed :hippy:
Thank you Professor. Back and working forward...
Your Peyote Critical is going crazy
IKR! It's going to need a final trim next weekend no doubt. Probably all of them.

I knew you could handle the pressure or I wouldn't have tagged you! Thanks for jumping in, and I'm hoping magnesium over septoria!

With the 5g my TDS meter was up around 850, and according to greenleaf's calcs, my N was 135.5, my Mg was 32.3, and my TDS was 525.

:hmmmm: I can see why you’re not sure yourself. Looks a little like def. maybe but Suga is right - there was one or two photos that looked a bit spotty. I have no experience eith it at all. Emilya recently diagnosed it for someone - I’ll see if it’s at all similar, and check out some other info on it. EVen then - you’ll be able to tell better than I!

Sending wishes of goodness across the seas buddy :ciao::Namaste:

Edit: If there’s no brown spots appearing in those faded areas, you seem safe from septoria - I think.

Thank you Ms Amy! Normally I pull any leaves that look like that so it's easy to spot any more, but that won't give me an answer if there aren't any more. If the yellow spots turn into brown crusty circles, it's septoria. If they don't, it's Mg deficiency. I've got leaves to spare down in the middle anyway!

I’ve been reading about septoria and its treatments so I really hope it is a magnesium deficiency. Wouldn’t your other plants be affected probably if it was a fungus? I think that may be a good sign.

I had septoria on one of my first plants but it never turned into a big deal. Can't remember what I did for it (besides taking the leaves). I'll know in a few days if it spreads...the two Candida live side by side in the tent most days now.

I am looking forward to seeing the mystery solved. I remember reading Candida can be tricky to grow.

Numbers sound about right. I had 5mg (weighed on a scale) around 750ppm and then my water of about 120ppm for a grand total of 870ish. I'm creating a crew of number crunching nerds like myself...lol.

hey shed how's it going, warming up
question can a plant have too many tops

I was never far behind, I just didn't know anything about this nitrogen loading side of it, nor the lock out numbers, nor 85% of the rest of the stuff you have mentioned! This week I plant on consolidating all of your posts into one compendium so I can bookmark it.

Depends on whether the plant has the root structure to support it. By example let me brag by showing off my AK-47 from last spring...59 tops in 10 gallons of soil, 6.3 ounces dried and October POTM :):
