InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

All's well here. Closed on the new house. Trying to get one ready for market and working on the new house getting ready to move in. Hopefully it will be my last time moving. I'd forgotten what a pia it is. When I get settled in I'll fire up my garden. I'll have to dig out my old tent. Hopefully the mice haven't been living in it. Lol
Good luck brother! Moving sucks, but will be totally worth it in the end.

Oh man, congratulations on the new house! That's brilliant and I hope you get to spend the rest of your days happy at home :high-five:. We've been in our house for over 20 years (my first house ever!) and have no plans on ever leaving. And not just because moving sucks!

Hey I had a quick question about cloning.

If I wanted to cut a few clones from my EM but I don’t have any rooting gel or powder can honey be used just as effectively? Or should I just soak the rooter plugs or peat pellets in a light voodoo juice water solution and then set scoured clone end into the plug or peat pellet?

Or is it best to just wait and get rooting gel?

SweetSue uses aloe for cloning. If you have an aloe plant you're good to go. I tried honey and was unsuccessful, but then I failed with so many different methods I can't make any blanket statements :).

We discussed willow water here earlier this year if you have access to a willow tree. Aspirin as well!

Others swear by baby coconut water... so many ways to make it work. It seems to come down to a nice sterile process and the right temps / humidity more than anything else.
Baby coconut water sounds so sad. Poor coconuts were ripped off the tree and cut open for their water before they could develop into grownup coconuts...

Lamb on the other hand is delicious!

Is 18/6 or 24hr lighting best ?
I have coconut water and I may try honey maybe to! Thanks for the input ! Much appreciated
My rooting ones all rooted at 24/7. A single 23w CFL about 12" above them

I think the common theme here is heat along with the moisture. I bought a Vivo sun mat with a thermostat and the time to germinate went down and the percentage of success went way up at least to the tap root emerging. That is one purchase I would buy again in a heart beat. Now I have been able to kill one or two after the tap root is out but that is a different story.

I like to put my heating mat under my humidity dome. Fill the reservoir of the humidity dome with water and close the vents until they pop above ground. Then slowly start opening vents. It’s like a Japanese bathhouse

Do you give them white towels for modesty? Oh, and how warm does the mat get? Mine just says something about 10-20º above room temps, which can be damn hot. I wonder if I can put it on a regular light dimmer...
