Hey buddy. okay well i agree a small bulb will suffice. not sure what wattage your going with but id go with the biggest CFL you have... Pollen sacks will open early and continue to do so until they kinda hit an apex and go more "full bloom". Your box looks great though buddy!

23 w CFL at 100 W equivalent is all I've got. Going to be about 3 inches from the tops. You think color temp matters?

Okay I know it's late and I've already posted a lot today, but I've got a few things I need to have on the record for future reference.
First is I put the tiny-tailed Blue Treacle auto in a peat puck and put it in the Shoebox of Light®. If I don't see any activity by Wednesday I drop another. Still waiting for a visible tap root on the speedy Amphetamine auto. As soon as I see it it gets planted in ProMix HP in a 7 gallon felt pot.
Second is I've wrapped up the clone box and the solo cup cloning attempts. All dead, no roots.
And last, here is the cloninator, and I don't understand why the bottom cutting doesn't have roots given how it looks:
It's time to put away the cloninator for a while as I need the bike shed for the MarsHydro 300 over the autos at night. The other cutting is dead so I'll be tossing it out tomorrow and I'll probably just put the lavender with roots in a glass of water. And maybe I'll plant the one that looks like it should have roots but doesn't. I've got a couple of days before the autos will need to be in there.
And just because I have this pic I thought I'd post it for anyone who forgot about AK-47 1.1.1.1.1. It's looking very monstercroppy:
It's getting nutes at half the strength of the Sour G 1.1. I'll work on cloning those two when they're older and the weather is cooler.

In same boat looks like I’ll be out of meds myself in two days and not able to buy for almost three weeks . Should be interesting times. I’ll pray for you bro.

If you're already out of meds after the big harvest in the spring then it might be time for a perpetual grow, maybe split between indoor and then autos outside in the summer. You need to calculate your daily use and the figure out what you need to grow to hit that. I'm sure one of the perpetual growers here can help you figure that out. I think Van has a number he needs to hit based on what he knows he uses. I'm sure others do as well.
Something to consider, because being out of your meds is never a good thing!

Yeah penny suggested just keeping s mother and ripping clones havvest an ounce a week . I was out of stuff shed about two months or more ago it didn’t last . I gifted a lot to people who weee finically not able to provide themselves with meds .
OGC I ate up pretty quick though

Didn't you say you were pretty deep in the financial hole to growing? Gifting is great when you have more than you need but really what you're doing is buying weed for other people now every time you have to pay for meds.
I know you're a generous soul and have offered me assistance many times, but these are meds you need so you should try to organize your grows to provide you with the 2-4g a day. If you get a big cushion then helping out the less fortunate is good. In the meant time you should try to figure out a way to at least get your med needs covered.
Just my two cents Joe but I hate to think of you having no meds on hand, especially since you have become such an excellent grower.
Good advice Shed . Reminds me of the airplane oxygen mask thing for adults with children - ‘make sure your own mask is on and working first before you assist others’.
I know you were writing to King, but I appreciated what you said too. I like how you pointed out that it becomes the same as buying weed for others, if I run out and have to purchase... I’d not thought of it quite like that. I’ll do a check of my supply levels I think, and make sure I’m on track

Joe, I started tracking strain production based on grams per day. I keep track of total days a plant was run and what I got from it. For example.....if I ran a Blue Dream for 60 days in veg and then it flowered for another 65 days I know I had to use 125 days. If it yielded me 160 grams dried, I know I yielded 1.28 grams per day. Over time I start seeing a pretty good 'average number' and I know what I need to grow to meet our (mine and Ms Stanks demand), our family's need (relatives that use topicals or flower) and then what I have to offer to friends. Everything I produce above that, is stuff I can be kind with, which I love to do. Just gave a buddy of mine that had a hip surgery (torn hip labrum or some shit) about 20 grams. I will check on him in a couple days and if he needs more, I will give him more.
One other idea Joe, especially when you are running low on meds and aren't in a position to spend money, is to cut your usage back. Might suck but I know that I would rather be partially medicated (2-3 hits instead of 5 or 6 hits) than to not be medicated. If you were close by, I would gladly give you a zip of meds to help hold you over Joe.

Seeds are one thing but keeping yourself in meds is job one. I would keep my stash private and maybe gift a few seeds when I have them.
I don't mean to jump in on that post but the main reason I grow is to keep me and Miss J in meds. Now if you have room and all, it's nice to be able to gift some to others... Or even better yet get them growing their own.... Then trade herbs for a changeup??

Thanks Amy! Gifting is great if you never need to buy. Otherwise you're just shifting the time of the expense. And my wife quotes that oxygen mask thing all the time when she eats before anyone else

A good option to be able to help others while not running out of meds.
Like that guy Joe gave the clone to. If you get a mother plant and a good cloning operation, you would probably have enough to give those away instead of cured buds. As we know, it's possible to grow in a cardboard box with a couple of CFLs and some Osmocote.
I'm not going to go that far with the box but I'm sure with enough cardboard I could create another growing space. I'll make sure I stay as isolated as I can when I collect the pollen and when I'm done I'll spray everything down with water to deactivate any strays.

Tuesday and the HazeX has big enough balls that it's time to go into the box tonight:
The timer is set for dark at 7:30pm to 7:30am, though there may be some light leakage in there as I didn't make it completely light-proof.
That Amphetamine auto that was all speedy still doesn't have a tap root coming out of the bottom of the peat even though is has its first set of true leaves. I guess it's not so speedy after all considering how fast the tap grew in the paper towel:

If I get the pollen in two weeks, will it be too late to pollinate one bud of the AK-47 as a test? I don't know how late you can fertilize the pistils and still get seeds.
Shit! I just realized I forgot to take the the Sour G out of the shed when I left this morning
. That means it's going to be in there for 36 hours of dark before it sees the sun again. Oh well, maybe it will shock it into trichomes.Thanks all for offering Joe all the good advice. Maybe a SOG would be a good way to keep a constant harvest going and maximize the space in the tent. Start cutting clones from the lowers of the outdoor ones now!

I think I'm going to try sog in 2ltr pop bottles wrapped in black duct tape. I can harvest usable amounts more often and be able to make seeds much easier. I'll see how many bottles I can fit in a 4x4 tomorrow.
