InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Right in time for a baby shot:cheer:
Hopr all is good in the hood:high-five:
Thanks for cruising by NS! Having some adult plant issues so it was time to drop a couple of fast autos. The Amphetamine is showing its leaves already but I'm gonna wait for a tap root before I plant. The Blue Treacle hasn't changed since I pulled it from the bowl with the little tail and put it in paper towel. I'm thinking of tossing it and doing another since slow to grow at this stage might mean another spog®. I think the Brooklyn Auto spog® was slow at this stage as well.

Hope the autos will grow fast and big for ya. that taproot is my indicator to. to early and you tear the baby apart :O tossing new beans is Always a good option to be sure you have a backup right? my ww doesnt seem to germ so i think i might change my plan to white skunk...

I hate bugs but I hate fusarium mold even more! It killed my bit Gold Leaf and now it's working on my Sour G. I ran a gallon of H2O2 through twice and I'm giving it 14 hours dark a day to try to hurry it up.

I've got 4 more of the Blue Treacle autos so if this one hasn't budged by tonight I'm tossing it. It's supposed to be a 65 day strain but if it takes 4 days to grow a tap in paper towel it's not fast enough for me right now!

WW is usually a reliable strain so sorry hear about the germ problems. White Skunk sounds like a good option!

I dont know this kind of mold, let me search for it and come back at ya.

Any kind of bug, mold or burn is nasty and to me its like burning myself or so… that auto might be a lost sibling of my ww lol! I got the seeds from a trusted dutch seed producer so it might be just one. if its not up by tomorrow morning ill go plant the WS in there :) For today changing to a 10 liter pot with the Acapulco Gold was enough. that pot was heavy after watering!

Norcaliwood spotted it when my Gold Leaf was dying and there doesn't seem to be a real cure but after growing this for 8 months and only a few months from the end it seemed a shame to give up on it completely. I'm trying to get a few trichomes to form so I can at least use it for topical oil. At this point it's just pistils.

I can barely lift my 10 gallon pots when they're wet. Don't strain your back NS!

Sunday and I've decided that the HazeX is a boy. I don't see pistils coming and the balls are developing pretty quickly.

Here is my plan and I have questions...
I am going to cut it back to the tall growth in the center as it's too wide for the box I want to put it in. Does it need a lot of light to finish producing pollen or can I just hang a 100 watt equivalent CFL over it on 12/12? And how long do you think it has before they pop? Also, do I still need flower nutes?

Thanks in advance for your answers!
:thanks:

When i took the ATF and AG clones they had enough just behind the window. the pollen brench of the AG did not make it tough. it has several reasons and one of them is not enough light i think. just treat the brench like you would do in flower. its still in flower, just not a girl hehe. only the nutes is something im not sure of how to….

Good luck and lets get that pollen out:slide:

A 20 watt CFL would be sufficient to keep the plant alive and healthy enough to produce pollen. Save some top leaves and cut off the leaves down around the pollen sacks. This makes it easier to get to the pollen sacks when they start to open. Always harvest in the morning which is when the sacks will open (the majority anyway). Here is a good photo showing the pollen sack opening and the 4 distinct quadrants from which the pollen comes. When you see the first one open like this then it's game on.

When you see one opened like that hold a small hand mirror in one hand under the branch. Gently bend the branch to put the pollen sack over the mirror and lightly tap on it. Have the mirror just a few inches underneath it. Start looking at the top of the branch first as that shakes the easiest. Start there and work your way down the branch looking for more opened sacks.

Not much light is needed, they will open on their own
Good luck my friend
Thanks Chris! 23 w CFL is what it's gonna be.

Hope that oil helps the back NS! Speaking of draining, I'm draining the hot tub right now...slowly! Just gravity.

Great advice beez, thanks! I'll bookmark that post so I can find it when it's time to harvest the pollen.

Well the box I had in mind wasn't tall enough, so rather than wait for @Pennywise to send me a bigger one, I though I would build my own. @TheMadDabber and I like to build stuff out of cardboard, so here's my project of the day:

Right size for the pot so that's a good start:

Take off the sides:

Leaving this...right width but too tall:

Of course, it's always good to have paper boxes sitting around, so I cut two down and made a loft extension with a hole to jam the light fixture through. I sealed the edges with packing tape:

Well it fits perfectly! How do I look?

Not easy making room in the bike shed, but since it's temporary the bikes are down the side of the house with the worm bin:

Since the balls that were furthest along got cut off with the ends, I'm going to leave this in the sun for a few more days before I box it up. Here are the leftover balls:

I watered it with straight tap water because it was thirsty and between draining the hot tub and building the box and the fact that it's a male, the hell with it!

Thanks all for jumping in of a Sundy :thumb:.

:)

Looks great Shed! Nice boybox :D ;)

I love the cardboard constructions too. Have to do one myself soon to make the intake on my tent light proof...

It looks cute all trimmed up like that. Would’ve looked better all covered in colas of course... but you’re making cute lemonades with that lemon :)
