InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Shed,
I sure am hoping you're not in the path of the inferno.
I'm not quite certain where you are located but I'm nearly certain your location is too close for comfort.
Be safe brother. Take no chances!
Thank you GDB. The fires are far enough north of my house that I feel safe there, though my office is much closer to the evacuation zone. So far we're okay but I do know a couple of people are pretty sure their houses burned down last night. It's still hard to get confirmation of what's there and what isn't.

Also, with 80 mph winds, you never know what is going to turn up where. This was on my patio this morning and we're about 10 miles south of the main fires burning in the Pacific Palisades:

I looked it up and it's from an article titled: "The Complexity of Identity" by Beverly Daniel Tatum. The pdf is here if anyone's curiosity is piqued. My wife decided to save it as a reminder of the day.

That is a profound and poignant photo Shed
The shape, the words, the way it's burned at the edges; very thought-invoking, which is grave indeed
All I can do is hope you are all safe out there :Namaste:

Worrying and concerning, but good to know that you're some distance from the fires. Hopefully you remain safe, it is just dreadful that such conditions occur so regularly.
Thanks Stunger. Usually it's Malibu or further into the forest that burns around here, but this one is much closer and includes the homes of folks I've known and visited for years.

Thank you Roy. It really does look like it would be used as a plot point in a movie or TV show. And I just found out another friend had to evacuate from a different fire (further east) last night. I hope the winds die down soon so they can get the water dropping planes and helicopters out there.

That’s crazy! Stay safe! I remember in the early 2000’s when I was still living in Vegas the cali fires were roaring towards us and we could see the orange glow on the mountain range to our west. Sky went orange and we had ash falling from the sky and creating a coating on your car.

With those winds stay aware as an ember can travel miles! Thoughts are with you

Those poor folks.

Do they know how this one started?

So glad to hear that you have a little distance but it's still too close imo.

You are precious and must be protected. 💕

I’ve been watching the fires on the news and I’m happy 😊 to hear that the Shedster and Crew are safe. Crazy times we live in with the weather across the country, fires 🔥 and the drones filling the skies 🌌. 2025 is looking 👀 like it’s gonna be interesting 🧐 to say the least. CL🍀 :thumb: :ciao: :goodluck:

Hey CL, haven't seen you for ages but then I've been AWOL a lot lately as I am delayed in kicking off my annual grow by a bunch of distracting stuff, hope you keeping well. Yeah those fires are bad, but the winds, wow that's a really nasty combo, I feel sorry for all the folks caught out by it. Stressful and a pain for those who have the money to easily rebuild but for those who don't it'll be devastating. I hope the authorities are doing a great job dealing with it.
I don't know if it's true or not, but Saudi or Dubai not that long ago were supposed to have done 'cloud seeding' to trigger some rainfall which resulted in total flooding, something like a year's worth in 1 day. I wonder why, if that can be done in the desert why it can't be done in times like this, maybe the wind's too strong?
But very good to hear Shed and family are safe from the fires, I hope all our 420 members are safe too. Cheers.

The authorities here only deal in two things. More power and more money so the idea of helping people isn’t going to happen. So what do you plan to grow this year? Anything exotic? Tag me when you get started and I’ll go along for the adventure. TTYL ✌🏻 CL🍀 :thumb: :ciao:
