InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Definitely A as a quality pic and nug shot, but the site's voting trend seems to go with the more dramatic looking frosty looking pics, I can see all the elements of A clearly and in focus, and that's what makes it the better pic imo. I also just love that nug. It's a really nice pic. I think the triches in the second nug have white out, I think is the term. Did you raise highlights and sharpness in the edit? Anyway, it is not a photography contest, it's a nug contest :cheesygrinsmiley: Pick the one that is most popular!

Thanks for the detailed analysis Carmen! I tried to increase the depth of field on my phone but F-stop wasn't a choice even in the Pro setting. I ended up raising the ISO and lowering the shutter speed to see if that would help. In terms of the post-production, on B I tried to smooth out the highlights to see if I could make that center-top calyx less blown out. Not sure I did anything on A.

A = 5
B = 7

And for anyone who missed Saturday's harvest-weight and nug-pic post, it's here!

:)

Saturday harvest weight update on the Le Creme CBG auto, a week after it went into the jar:

That's 43g or 1.52 ounces. It's smells really nice but with the occasional hint of cat piss, so no idea what that's about!

I thought they looked nice so I took a couple of pics to maybe put one in the NOTM this month. I've never entered before. :rolleyes:

Anyone have a preference in terms of which is a better pic to enter?

A:

B:

That's all from here. Hope you are all having a fine fine Saturday (or whatever it is in your time zone)!

Quotes:

Don't be too envious, the plant doesn't actually smell that way...only if you rub the stems!

Thanks Fudo! I appreciate the feedback whenever it comes. :)

Be glad to...will an email do? :love:
I’m going with B CL🍀

I like A so better off with B :)
That has been my experience as well, but my current grow is the first that hasn't dropped a single leaf yet and only one is starting to show signs of aging I'll say, because it isn't a deficiency. Not sure whether it's the sips or the TLO soil. Other than light defoliation, I'm watering & leaving them alone..

This of mine SIP has had zero yellow or fallen leaves so far. It's early only 6 days into flower though.

@InTheShed - Was it you who mentioned that you just paint the nodes but don't spray??? I have made frugality an artform!! And if this will save solution....I'm in!!
Do you just paint at the intersection of main stalk and leaf stem??? Asking for a friend. :ciao:
PS - I will be using STS - I imagine it works the same.

The mods I made don't change the basic process but I'll list them here in case anyone is interested:

• I use Dip'n Grow rooting hormone rather than Clonex gel.
• I use plain distilled water rather than water and Clonex liquid.
• I don't take off the domes in timed intervals (because I work and @beez0404 is retired :cheesygrinsmiley: ), so I just tip the domes back a bit after the 4th day and wait a couple of days, and tip them further and further each day after that until they're not really doing anything and I can take them off.
I use regular ass root tone that I bought from family Dollar and I use my saliva in my mouth when i wet the stem and then dip it in root tone always great success! Lmao
2 Sour G and a 00.

Your SIP plant looks like it's going to eat you!
The bowel is the best pic , cause there is more of it LOL put me down for ... B the dark green one !
Bowel pic not eligible so I'll put you down for B.

A = 6
B = 11

I've never painted on STS but I know that beez0404 does his CS that way. I spray the whole plant because I'm working with small clones and trying to reverse the whole thing. If you were doing just a few buds you could try painting it on but I would make sure to get the nodes really wet with the STS.

Have you Has your friend mixed it yet or is it still in the planning stage? A 50% solution works much much better than the 10% solution recommended in all the recipes.

Gotta bottle that stuff and sell it on Ebay! Personally I'm good with Dip'n Grow. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Whew! Finally caught up! I like A.
Thanks Boo, and thanks for the vote!

A = 7
B = 11

Last chance people so I get it in on time!

Here's the video I watched that set me up for success with STS (credit for the original posting to @Virgin Ground):

[He says it's colloidal silver but it's actually Silver Thiosulfate (STS).]

Here are his mixing instructions:
Part A: 1g Silver Nitrate in 1000 ml of water (.1% solution)
Part B: 5g Sodium Thiosulfate in 1000ml water (.5% solution)
Mix part A into Part B.
Add 2000ml water, which cuts it by 50%.
Add 6-12 drops of dish soap from the container.
Start applying 3 days before flip, and continue every 3 days.

You can obviously mix smaller amounts for smaller applications.

My previous instructions have the same dilution for parts A and B, but then it's mixed down to 10% strength rather than 50% strength. Big difference!
