InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Strange. They all look hungry, the CB and JH mostly.
I tend to get behind on the bumps at this stage with every plant, so it's not surprising that I did it again here. I gave the CB 3g/gallon eq on transplant over the weekend, and I'm just waiting for the JH to dry out enough to bump that as well.

I'm thinking of moving to 3.5 or 4 even.
You only have one plant on GF, the SG?
Yes sir. Just the Sour G is on the GeoFlora.

Whenever I fall behind I tend to increase by at least a gram. If I was at 2, and seeing defs, I go to 3g's. Maybe you are doing that already. If you are at 3g's and plan on going to 4, then go to 4.5 until flip. The plant won't skip a beat, and you may find yourself ahead.

The CB got 3 Saturday and the JH got 2.5 (weekend before this past), so I think I can go to 4 and make them happy in terms of the color. The droop is a whole other issue that I think only time and root growth will solve.

I hope your weekend was packed with carbon capture/clutch-filled dreams,
This made me chuckle.:roorrip:
The TCK genetics (bred by Grandpa and named by Otter) are Golden Goat x Tahoe OG Kush.
Aha yeah couldn't find it anywhere but i sure did look . The JH will perk up in a week or two give her a chance. Stunned one of my GSC girls with the transplant but she's starting to come around. Herer is some top notch smoke and they can get quite large if you let them run wild.

Man, you have been super busy! I'm sure all of your labor will reap you many rewards.

And if it doesn't, well, it's the effort that counts. :laughtwo:

Wednesday update? Supercropping!

As many of you know, I'm a big proponent of supercropping. So much so that I did an entire tutorial on it here:

But my tutorial and this post have nothing to do with the basic supercrops people use to avoid leaders burning in the lights or to keep the canopy flat. That's basic info that almost everyone understands. My supercrops are all about increasing the number of tops a plant will produce, without additional topping. It's what I used to create my POTM winner, with a total of 59 tops in the end:

If you're interested in this technique and haven't read my thread on it, I suggest you read the first post. It's got loads of pictures and explanations as to how and why to do it.

When I thinned the Tin Can Kush on Sunday, I was left with a couple of gaps on the side of the plant where there were no longer any branches. Well...empty space is wasted space, so I bent two of the central branches out into those gaps without making the plant any wider. And what did I gain by making those two bends?

A bunch of new tops!

Eight of them by my count. :thumb:

Last for today harkens back to the cuttings I took on April 14th, five weeks ago. All of the first round of Candida and TCK cuttings died, but two of the Red Dragon cuttings are still hanging on:

I still don't see any roots through the clear cups, but they're not dead (yet). I did notice that the leaves are very green, which got me thinking about the used ProMix that I filled the cups with [with which I filled the cups]. I remember reading that nitrogen in the soil inhibits root growth in cuttings, which may have been part of my problem with the rest of the cuttings (along with the old Dip'n Grow). It also may be the reason that I don't see roots on these, and the reason they are very dark.

So I flushed the ProMix with fresh water this morning and put them back under the CFL to see if that helps.

We'll see!

Only place to find it would be this thread!

I'm waiting for it to run wild! I'm hoping it will eventually challenge me with its crazy growth. :)
New things are different. You'll get a handle on it and they'll come around! I'm almost positive!
Thank you Otter! Soil may take some getting used to after so many plants in peat.

Excellent advice...thanks GDB!
I was right. The Black Phoebe is related to the Flycatcher. Makes me happy since I'm a new birder.
Thank you HG! I have noticed fewer flies this spring, so that certainly explains it. I guess I'll put up with the pile of bird poop in the corner of the door to the shed...seems only fair!

I don't recall the age of the TCK. Is it still in veg? I normally would assume it's still in veg since someone told me that stems don't bend as easily once the plant is put into flower but I am learning to never assume anything.

Is there any particular reason you planted the cuttings in dirt rather than in a cloning machine?

TCK is still vegging at 96 days ( ) but I'll be flipping in the middle of next week. And I haven't found it difficult to supercrop in flower. Thick branches just need a needle nose pliers wrapped with a washcloth (or electrical tape) for some cushion.

I haven't used the Cloninator for a few years now, as it seems to be very temperature dependent since I run it outside in the bike shed. Too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter. Spring and fall would be okay, but I got used to doing it the beez0404 way so I've stuck with that.

The man with the plan! Spray and pray my friend! What a show around here, I can't wait to see the sts at work.

Just a fly by for tonight, catching up on some journals. :ciao:
