InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Damn, I seriously orphaned that post! It's the last thing on the previous page...here.
That inability to get clones to grow well hit me too Shed. I'm in the middle of changing everything up including getting the cloninator running again! I'm making progress with that. In a few days I'll post what's going on there. I went with clonex products this time in it and have seen some improvements creating roots. It takes time though! Getting them out of water and into some soil is the next little challenge.
Your garden is looking great!
Thanks Otter! I found that I could only use the cloninator when the outside temps were cooler (since it's in an outside plastic storage shed) but not cold, and when I started having great success with beez0404's method I haven't run it since I switched. I'm hoping that new soil/perlite and new Dip'n Grow will put me back on the right path.

In an indoor environment I'd probably have the cloninator running all the time with cuttings from the garden as well as cannabis!

I’m sure you have your plans already set, but ever since I tried VG’s perlite cloning method, I have not looked back. I don’t need dip n grow or anything. Just literally put the clippings in perlite with a little water in the bottom and wait. Strong roots, easy as easy gets.

I think something to consider with clones is that they mostly prefer more intense light than you’d think. My most fruitful cloning was done under 240w cobs in a 2.5x2.5. I had insane root growth across the board with some clones putting out roots in as little as 72 hrs. There was a humidity dome that dispersed the light a bit, but it was clear. It was a fog system which ended up not being all that great. Small bubbler in a tank of water was much better

I remember that! I've never tried high lux cloning, and like I said, it's never mattered before because I used to be around 95% success. The most lighting I have for them is the 23w CFL without the sheet of paper diffuser.

I'm swapping mothers since my original (in the cloth pot) suffered a broken stem in a fall.
Well she sure was a Grand old Queen and your new Candida Mother heir to the throne is quite a splendid choice sir.

Now that you mention it, my dip n grow is very low in the container and I have the new one on the shelf. It's time to give it a change!:thanks:

Just wanted to let you all know that the last of my MOTY prizes arrived yesterday from Lookah! They didn't have the one listed as the prize, so they let me pick out a more expensive piece and it's a beauty!

It's called the Mad Scientist Sprinkler and my family has been practically drooling with anticipation and you can see why:

It doesn't come with the bowl and my son couldn't wait while my wife went to look for the spares we have, so he grabbed his dab-cap and one of his many pens and smoked it up!

Much fun was had!

Mine arrived yesterday! So if I can wake up early one day this week I'll get some trimming and some cutting done...which probably means this weekend. :cheesygrinsmiley:
That clonex is what i have used with good success and its 2-3 yrs. old just did some Bonsai cherry trees and got 6 for 6 .
Thanks sb! I still have some Clonex sitting around somewhere...
I was alway a user of Clonex and a bottle would last a couple years pretty easy. And I also dipped right in the bottle and never had any contamination issues. I did keep it refrigerated.
Thanks Nev! Refrigerator? Never occurred to me.

It's no longer available here, so I'm going back to soil with a lot of perlite for the summer grow.
Not sure what's going on with promix they are out nationwide. Was looking for the garden and vegetable one for some container plants for mom and as a base for some autos i want to run outside this year. Ended up ordering stuff to whip up a batch of coots mix instead. That bong looks amazing. :roorrip:

Yea, years ago my old hydro store kept them in a fridge and told me that it kept it fresh and it would last longer. I don’t know where they got the info I didn’t ask and I just followed their move. All I do know it didn’t hurt as it literally lasted flawlessly for years so I just continued with that practice. :hmmmm:

What a beautiful new piece. Congratulations on the win. Does the 1st user do the 1st cleaning?:roorrip:
