InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Only thing left is the Chef.
No doubt! I need a good amount of luck when I make these. I'm more consistent with dinner rolls!
Seriously though, you're probably right about the weak starter. Next one will be better come June.
I just may lay off until then and just refresh the starter once a month. I'll have to go back and dig up the recipe for the sugarless French bread...
Ha ha sounds like you’re much more busy than this rooster!

I’m doing alright. It’s day of continuously getting torched and then watered my ladies and finally started the other grow journal. I’m bloody spent!
Sounds exhausting!

Ohhhh shed... do I have some things to show you...

edit: regarding bread I mean
Oh, bread. Okay I'm ready...
Good morning Shed you look bored that's not like you
Sorry, that's my first-thing-in-the-morning face. How's this: :cheesygrinsmiley:
Doing OK Thanks for asking Shed , Hate that happened to the CG-male , you did get some pollen from it though didn't you ? Hope everyone is getting geared for some serious eating after that muchie weed kicks in HAhA
Glad you're doing ok! I'm not sure if I got any usable pollen from all the scrapings given the amount of contamination mixed in, but I'll give a flower some paintbrush dabs with what I have and see what happens.

If nothing else I learned some lessons for next time, which will be the GA3 Candida reversal, if it works. Not sure @DutchinAB is having definitive luck with his GA3 yet though.

Watch the off-topic pics. That's what the off-topic threads are for!

I was in no larf mode and thought that was not off topic, but I might be high enough to have moved it. . . slowly teehee ? :bong:

Evening Roosti. I'm inside at work all day so it only matters to my plants, and they're loving it! Yesterday was chilly and overcast, but they were out from 8:30 to 3:30 today. :thumb:

I bet your "chilly" is a lot warmer than our chilly. It's currently 32F and lightly snowing here right now. :battingeyelashes:

We had some of that white flakey stuff early this morning. It’s cold November rain now. Would rather have the snow, at least it’s pretty

Yeah but you have warm weather to enjoy after work so I’m jealous, lol. Now I have “summer breeze” playing in my head.:theband:

Sadly I am so close to calling this try a flop. She has stretched like crazy but no sign of lady balls yet. She may have forced my hand to try new dilutions on the next plants.
I’d would like to post a picture of it here, but seem to be unable to link or attach any pictures lately. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Shed. We're really lucky with weather this time of year. 65 day. 38 night average. Supposed to freeze in a couple days though. Stay stoneder

If my chilly wasn't warmer than yours then we'd all be living in Canada! Overnight lows are in the mid 40s if that makes you feel better. :)

Nah, sun's down about three hours by the time I get home. Did I mention it's in the mid 40s at night?

:grrrr: That's no good! What were your three dilutions in ppm (if you know)? If you sort out the upload issue do post some pics here.

Those are our highs as well these days, but being closer to the ocean our nights don't get down that low. On the other side of the hill from me (in the San Fernando Valley) they do get frost at night.
Highya Sheddie. :kisstwo:
Howdy darlin'!

Late Sunday early Monday update!

Busy day today dropping off Candida clones out in San Bernardino County for another grower here, then back home to bake a couple of loaves of sourdough. They didn't rise as much as I'd hoped, but I'm getting the feeling that baking sourdough during the cold months here is never going to go well. Tasty though!

Saturday I got the pre-flip thinning done on both the Colombian Gold and the Durban poison, so as promised, here are the before-and-after pics on day 71.

Durban Poison:

Colombian Gold 2:

And here is the how and why of my pre-flip trim:
I take off pretty much everything on the bottom third of the plant, and at least a couple of the lowest nodes.

[The DP probably now starts around the 5th or 6th node and the CG around the 3rd or 4th. It's all about where the top of those nodes come to on thinning day.]

Then I take off any growth on the lower part of the nodes I've left that aren't near the canopy, but I leave the adjoining fans on the plant. I want the plant to keep the fans because they absorb the light, as well as giving the plant something to eat if it's hungry late in flower.

I have two reasons for trimming this way before flip. First is I want to force the plant to send all its veg growth energy to the tops before I send it into flower, and the second is I am firmly #nolarf. I do not want any small fluffy buds down low at harvest, mostly because I hate having to trim them. :)

Anyway, that's about it on the plant news! I hope you all had a great weekend and are (or are about to be) safely tucked into bed for the night. TTYL! :ciao:

Yup, I totally agree on defoliating no more than necessary. Fan leaves are both buffers as well as diagnostic surfaces, so I would like to keep them as much as possible.

The tension in my setup is due to wanting to minimise RH and maximise light penetration. But I hope to find a happy balance!

Hope you're well, Shed!
